USH'S MATRIX GAME FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (PHILOSOPHY PATH)- 'The Journey'

"How very bleak," says Melitus. "But why would you be more likely to be right in the Matrix?"

(woops I ment you have a bigger shot outside of the matrix my bad)

AH, ok. In that case, if you can explain why that is? Melitus is very keen to pin down what you see as differences.

"In the real world there are less factors that could give you false information, on which you would base a false assumption. It could however be that I am mistaken I am uncertain. but I think it is safe to say that there are less"

"But which factors, specifically, relate to there being a difference in friendship between the Matrix and the real world?"

"There is no difference between friendship in the matrix and the real world"

(USH I think we are both on a different page here)

Why do you think that?

"So, whilst you are a sceptic of the physical world as well as the Matrix," says Melitus, "you concur that in some respects, the Matrix is not in any way MORE decietful than the physical world, and friendship is one of those areas?"

"Indeed, the friendship is equaly false if it is false or equaly right if it is right. the chances of having it right are just bigger in the real world"

Ok, and is everyone happy with this line of reasoning?

(i'm pretty dark and sinical am I not?)

Clinical. Melitus finds you dull.

(his problem not mine, I tend to like things to be proven, everything that can not be a 100% proven is a risk and a guess which is almost anything.... Stupid question but got to ask it: do you lose experience for being dull?)

Nope

"The Matrix and Real World cannot change love and friendship and feelings of that sort. If the couple down there were in love here, which they are, it is most likely that, if they were freed from the Matrix, they would still be in love."

"Very well then!" says Melitus. "Now you are concluding that there are some things that the Matrix cannot render false. And why stop at social relationships? When you think about it, there are many things you could apply the same criteria to. So in a false world where your decisions should be invalid... what makes SOME thing valid?

And in asking that... I would like you to think about the blue pill.red pill choice again..."

Ush... I'm back! And can I have a summary?

Actually, as you were of the opinion that Matrix decisions were valid, you didn't need all that bit, Azrael. Melitus is basically challening the view he was earlier advancing.

Which goes to show he is a tricky bugger and it is hard to pin down WHAT he wants from you!

a false world provides false information, therefore rendering the choices based on that information invalid.
But whatever choices aren't based on information, are valid.

(i know there are huge gaps in that...but it's the best i can think of, right this minute...)

"Literally speaking, all choices are based on information, from one source or another..."
