I might get the quartz cast bar soon.. cuz I hate the default

QH is mint.

I'm running about 15 different mods, most in the background, or at least not immediately recognizable in my UI. Once you realize that there's literally thousands of mods out there, many specifically for certain classes, it can be fun to customize your screen to compliment your play style. That's one of the best perks about WoW's large community, imo.

Let's see...
Atlas, AtlasLoot, Auctioneer (only partially), Bartender, Carbonite (only parts), Chinchilla, Cartographer (only parts), GearScore, Omen, OneBag, Power Auras, Pawn, Recount, X-Perl, ZHunterMod

And I need to get DBM soon too.

Oh, and hunter pet tanking works. I've tanked a few heroic instances in Northrend since I last posted on it. Heroic UK (twice), heroic DTK, and regular ToC. It's not perfect, and certainly not quite as good as regular tank classes, but definitely doable with the proper spec, gear, pet, etc.

so I just checked my full payment history on worldofwarcraft.com and found out that including the price of WoW and Burning Crusade, I've spent over $700 in 3 years

/wrists

I would bet that youve spent more on other treats, various indulgences, chocolate, sweets, going for a drink up the pub etc

you've probably got the most beneficial mods right there, I find that DBM is essential to Naxx

I love WoW, it is my live

Not sure if you guys have seen it yet or its been posted but it seems the info you collected is fairly correct:

Wow, that looks soo cool, I might have to return to WoW oneday after all.

Look at how pretty Desolace is now!

lol its got me running back, although tbh I was going to return anyway. I stopped playing for a good many years but I feel that WoW was one of the few game sthat kept me occupied long enough.

Here's some more interesting info; http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/

In particular;

Will I need the expansion to be able to experience the Cataclysm changes?

When the Cataclysm occurs, it will occur for all players, whether they have purchased the expansion or not--you will no longer be to play in the original version of Kalimdor or the Eastern Kingdoms. However, certain features such as the new zones, new races, and new level cap will only be accessible to players who purchase the expansion.

Will “phasing” be used more extensively in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm?

Yes. We’ve come up with a number of new, cool ways to using phasing since we introduced it in Wrath of the Lich King, and plan to use it more extensively to change the world as players progress. We are also now able to phase terrain, which players will see in the starting areas for the goblins and worgen. We’re also adding some UI improvements to help determine when another player is in a different “phase” from you.

Looks like Deathwing returned and is ****ing things up for everyone just like in the good old days.

Also, I hate phasing.

I love this. I love that they're actually going back and completely changing the old content. This is the most excited I've ever been for a WoW expansion.

I have never ever managed to level an alternate character, I've only been using my UD Warlock Morridini from April 2005 and out. However with a totaly changed Azeroth, and that would mean a total revamp of a lot of questchains, leveling an alt would be almost a completely new experience.

that's pretty interesting. so does anyone know if this expansion is directed towards higher levels or lower also? Besides the additional two races that is.

I've been wanting to make a human priest for a while but I've pretty much memorized lvls 1 - 40 so new quests would be good. Also I never got Wrath of the lich king so would i need that first?

Yes, you'd need both WotLK and the new expansion to use the new races. New quests will be available to all players, regardless of which expansions they own, but the level cap and new races, as well as a few of the brand new zones, will be Cataclysm-exclusive. This is according to Blizzard's latest press releases.

I am thoroughly disappointed in Cataclysm.. way too many unnecessary things that will wind up breaking the game..

I do agree that sometimes it seems like change for the sake of change. Like Hunters transitioning to energy. Not necessarily awful, but did anyone really complain about hunters being mana-based?

But what exactly are you talking about, since a lot is happening in Cataclysm? I personally think a lot of the new stuff will be great, like the new races, changes to Azeroth, and Guild leveling and achievements.

I've seen nothing revealed in Cataclysm that would even remotely break the game.

Sounds like just another baseless "the sky is falling" response to the new expansion. Many others had a similar response with the other expansions, only to be proven wrong.

And I'm not particularly familiar with Hunters but isn't the change to focus instead of mana a buff? Now you'll be like rogues and will never 'run out' of your secondary pool, it will regen quickly and you'll be able to just go nuts on your target without depleting your pool. Also you'll now be able to concentrate purely on simply enhancing your damage without worrying about trying to also juggle your mana efficiency.

I have a friend who plays a very high end Hunter, and he is very excited about the change, for these reasons and others.

The change is indeed massive to how we will play our class. With mana only occasionally running out in raids, our dps was rotation-based. With focus, it will be timing based, since we will not just be able to spam a rotation, but will have to wait for more energy after only 3-4 shots if we have no time in between. And yes, energy/focus regens, but it is used up with shots quickly, so it won't simply be "going nuts" but will have its own resource to track.

So it's not a nerf or a buff. Simply a change. The proper response is "wait and see" with things like this, so I'm not trying to be a reactionary doomsayer, but the change seems confusing to me simply because I never remember seeing anyone complain about the class's mechanics. And I read a lot of hunter info. I'm also not a fan of the timing-based rotations, and the focus mechanic in general, which has almost nothing on cooldown but bases everything on available focus. My lone experience with this on a Rogue briefly was not that much fun. And I've paid my dues to be a good hunter in any of the 3 current specs, and am not looking forward to having to relearn my class from scratch. So I remain cautiously skeptical. They can, and hopefully will, do this well, and after the learning curve it'll be fun to play again. But it's a gigantic change, so there's potential for bad with the good.

I think it's a relative buff. For top end raider, i would imagine it's just a bother, you're exchanging something you don't ever run out of, for as you said it, a timing system. So i can imagine there are very mixed feelings, however it's always been speculated Hunter should use energy. Now that's pretty much true.

Warlocks and soul shards. Scary scary.
Though i can't help but think with all those bonuses, the warlocks could be in for a nerf. I mean, instant fear, instant soul fire etc. That added to their current level would be.... somewhat untouchable. But i guess we'll just have to see.

Also very curious about the unnamed Spriest new attack. He said he wants us to use it in between out cd blasts. So will it replace MF as our main attack or what.

I haven't seen anything that in my opinion would break the game. I think it's a shame Deathwing is out so early in the grand scheme of things. But with the direction the game is heading well what can you expect?

Just to finished off, i wonder what Blizzard are planning, i mean, a level cap of 85. I suppose anyone could have guessed they don't want to take it above 100. But does this mean they plan for 3 more expansions? I will be very interested into seeing what those will end up being. Though i think it's kind of obvious the emerald dream will be a large if not the main focus in one. I hope Nozdormu and the caverns of Time get a big slot of one expansion. I've always felt that has sooo much potential.
