DarkC a good paladin can really make sure a team wins from time to time, and the paladins build can mean alot, and if the paladin is supporting it outwieght's his melee attacks, he'l be more useful healing and supporting, little heals you say? well 5k crit holy lights cast in 2.0 sec aint that small and 1.5 cast heals that heal for 1k and only cost 140 mana is not to be underestimated, on a side note I've yet to be outhealed by a shammy, priest or druid in WSG/AB since 2.0 patch( lovely patch btw really shows whos trying)
There is a reason why my arena team has never lost to another team that consisted of ret paladins, and why I've read so much about ppl saying retribution paladins always seem to be doing nothing more then scratching their own ass in the bg's at least thats their impression.
Sure he can be ret if he wants but all i pointed at was that it was a waste of good energy, why not just play a warrior or mage if you want to go ganking ppl? you'l get far better results, the paladin yes is a support class btw and dose that FAR better then playing with a big sword there is no discussion about this.

While they may be better at support/healing than pure melee, it doesn't suit Satsujin's style of play, and in that you have no right whatsoever to tell him what to do. BackFire put it pretty brusquely in a nice paragraph or two. All specifications and skills aside. They're, as I said, moot. No point. If you don't like the way someone plays, suck it up and be a man, rather than whining about it. And the melee part isn't completely useless.
Remember, all Paladin characters have had what, two or so respeccing of talent points at no cost, don't assume he's never tried the others before.

Like I've said, if you want to cater to other people as a Paladin then that's your business. But don't try and spoil fun for others by attempting to force them to a style of play that they dislike.
In short: Stick to your own bloody account.

A few reasons why Paladins are picked over Warriors:
1.) They can heal.
2.) They are damn hard to kill while soloing quests.
3.) They wear the highest class of armour in the game to boot.
4.) Buffs, buffs, BUFFS! Buffs, anyone?
A few reasons why Paladins might be picked over Mages:
1.) They can heal.
2.) They are damn hard to kill while soloing quests.
3.) They're plate! PLATE PLATE PLATE!
4.) They're casual mana users and don't have to rely on it nearly as much.
5.) They can whack real hard.
It is one of the best in the game, I've already agreed to that, but that's still a consideration, not a dictation. You can't force someone to go support all the time. If he wants to jump in with a big sword swinging away then let him.
Once again, real "results", BG victories and raids aside, are mainly up to the player to decide. Try taking your head out of your ass for once.

One of the best rare 2H swords in the game, in my opinion. If I do win it I'm slapping a Crusader on it, getting 2H sword skill up, and smash my way through battlegrounds.
This thing will rape in BG.

Bah TBC while a good addon and all has alot of down points 🙁 instances getting reduced to 25 man, which leads to ppl either beeing forced out of guilds to find other guild or quit totaly all together, and now since tbc came out there are alot of server transfers going on which is the worst part of it all, all the ppl I've come to know are either not going to buy the game cause some where forced to leave their guilds, some are thinking of transfering, so basicly server is probobly going to be split up and those that dont leave (some are not going to continue playing) Its really sad server is 2 years old and you've come to know alot of the ppl there... argh this blows

Ever herd of paladin stunlock? a ret pally alone can stun 2 targets with a fast 1h, ( less than 2 secs would be best) now are you telling me that that isn't usefull in a raid, are you telling me that when the healers draw agro you don't want someone to jump over there and have the ability to protect the squishies second to none in the game?
