Okay.....what are you talking about? Arena Spec + Duel, Destruction >> Affliction.

In a stand up fight Destruction is easily the more powerful of the two.

Affliction is just for ppl want want to DoT and run, tends to be alot weaker.

WoW this is my friend in real life, i didn't realise he actually posted his fraps video, he still doesn't have TBC ^^'

Nah, destro is very reliant on crits, and with resilience now so huge in PVP, destro suffers.

Take a look at the best arena locks, there are very few destro locks. Aff isn't the most powerful spec either, but it's better than destro for a few reasons.

Unstable affliction is an amazing talent, it can really destroy healers and ensures that your damage won't be negated. Aff locks are also very strong in arena because they don't have to worry about line of sight, they can just dot and forget. Destro locks need LoS to be effective.

Does World of Warcraft have a race of creatures that are muscular?

Orcs

The humans are oddly muscular too, even the old men lol

True, but a bold statement for Destruction warlock is they can out DPS most mages. then you get the stupid crits.

Dots are nice, true, but they take time to work their magic.

It's really personal experience that puts Destro ahead. Being a Rogue if i get the jump on any warlock, it's dead, but if they get the jump on my, a destro warlock can kill me, a Affliction however would still die a horrible death.

A destro lock can out dps mages, yes. However, pure damage isn't what's most important in PVP, you need survivability too. That's why Frost is the Mages best PVP tree, that's also why Destro isn't so hot at end game pvp, they just don't have the means of staying alive like Aff and Demo do. Destro can do great damage, but it's burst. Affliction can do great damage too, just not all up front, but affliction locks can SURVIVE long enough ensure they are able to do that damage.

Do you have a 70? Says in your sig that you are 52, is that accurate? If not, then you should remember that PVP at 70 when everyone has good gear is very different than at 52.

Take mages for example, Fire mages are great at PVP before 60, because the base damage of the fire spells are so much better than frost/arcane. However, at 70, when mages have 800+ bonus spell damage, frost catches up and the ratio in which fire out damage frost shrinks drastically. Similar with Destro.

My sig is accurate, 52 Rogue. For what it's worth i keep my ear to the floor and keep my eye on the WoW forums, read a bit here and there, usually on clue for weakness and things i can take advantage off.

Well as you say PvP must do a quite a switch at 70. levels 30-52 i say Destruction definatly > Affiliction

Low levels, yes destro is quite good for the same reasons Fire is good for a mage, big crits, no resilience to lower those crits, and people don't have huge health pools. Once you get to outland, though, things change. Everyone's health skyrockets, you get a lot of bonus damage from items, and resilience comes into play.

Not saying Destro is bad at end game. In the right hands its still very deadly, just for your average joe warlock, they'll have greater success in pvp with affliction or demo.

true, thats why im affliction 😄
afflocks ftw!

Destro-locks for the win!

Just so much more fun then Aff and Demo, also fits better with my background story for my character, being a fallen Mage and all.

Sounds alot like Djinn was right, TBC ruined PvP

Taking out the fires advantage over frost 😬 lame. Shouldn't be that hard to create a balence, e.i. + % on spell damage, that would be much better, far more balenced

ime an affliction lover myself, cant beat a good old row of curses, but i am not full aflicto, ive gone a route where i have Ruin as well, like SM ruin only i got some extras which boost me up high

What are the Most Overpowered Classes in your opinion?

Mine got to be Hunter & Shaman.

I don't feel that on my rogue, but as a warrrior and priest, it's painfully obvious. What about you guys, any thoughts?

blood elf rogues (basically cloak of shadows + shadow step + AoE silence too add to their kick and gouge?.. cmon..)

undead shadow priest (they get a free shadow DoT to add to shadow's already powerful damage AND they get will of the forsaken)

Tauren shaman are pretty dumb too...they have a free AoE interrupt so they can make sure you die (on top of earth shock).. and now with no diminishing returns on frost shock it just gets more annoying

Hunters?.. I guess beast mastery hunter.. they spam the shit out of stuns..

warlocks I expect silliness...

but I seriously cant stand how warrior gets an AoE fear.. how "honorable" or "brave" is that to send everyone running?.. also.. warrior is not a barbarian... why do they have whirlwind and shouts?.. more lore shit on, IMO...

Also, I think healing is very broken... especially when its paired with cast time interrupt resist talents.. alot of the healing in this game is made to deal with mobs who do 2,000 damage a swing, so I dont think it balances out when it comes to bringing that same healing to PvP with no kind of adjustment

SL/SL Locks and Resto Druids. Hunters are getting there with their new changes.

Shaman are pretty weak, as it is. Shadowpriests too. Rogues are a pain in the ass for me, but that's because I play casters and they're my counter class.

How do the Orcs look?

Orcs look really cool, I think. Especially as warriors.

So my old Algebra teacher plays Wow.......

Never played it before myself. Apparently it's fun.
