The Yule Ball

Not willing to let Fudge our of his sight for an instant, Elrohir followed him in, once again making sure he was between Fudge and Sonia. He didn't like this. Fudge was too eager to enter Sonia's house. Not for th first time, he wished Maik was there to sort it out.

Sonia led thim to the sitting room. "I'll go make tea, i guess. You two can sit down and make yourself at home."

Have you guys managed 179 pages on the Yule Ball?

Fudged smirked. "Fine, I won't then." he said shrugging. "Can't I see how the hubert's brought up their daughter? I worry aout Sonia's future. She's an excellent witch when she wants."

Worried about her future. Right. And the sun is green too. "Her future? Since when is Sonia's future your concern? Sonia is one of the finest witches i've met." Elrohir stated

Sonia lushed. She had caught Elrohir's last staement. In her hands was a silver tray covered in little hand sanwiches and two cup of tea. She walked over to the two and offered them some.

Smiling Fudge took his cup and two sandwiches. "Thank you, Sonia."

Sonia nodded as she waited for Elrohir.

Elrohir helped himself to some sandwiches and some tea, giving Sonia a smile as he did so. He sipped his tea, glaring at Fudge over the top of his cup.

Sonia nodded and set the tray on a table. "Um, well, Mr. Fudge, how's work?" she asks as she sits on the cushiony couch. A lack cat jumps into her lap and curls up.

Elrohir had a few chioce words to say about Fudge's performance at work, but he decided it was in his best interest to say nothing. Instead he ate his sandwiches and tried to determine how nice the cat was.

sonia petted cat as it fell asleep in her lap. She listened to fudge seeming to be tentative.

"That's nice. I'm sure Maik will come back when she's stronger." Sonia said.

Fudge nodded. His eyes stayed on the strange cat.

There was no telling how long it would take Maik to recover. Elrohir hoped it wouldn't take long. He didn't like being without her. Elrohir reached over and offered a piece of his sandwich to the cat, not taking his eyes off Fudge. He was getting nervous.

Sonia smiled as the cat ate from Elrohir's hand. "He like's you." she says. The cat hissed at fudge.

Fudge startled. "I. . .I think I should go."

"Only if you insist. I will show you to the door." Sonia said holding the cat and walking to the door. After fudge was on the doorstep she slammed it shut.

"I thought he would never leave." said the cat.

Sonia giggled softly. "Of course not. He's to nosy."

Elrohir stared at the cat. "It's talking! the cat is talking!" Talking cats? At least Fudge was gone. Elrohir still didn't understand his motives for walking Sonia home.

Sonia set the cat down, and it started transforming into her older brother. He smirked. "He was here to see if he could find anything to do with dark magic. You know like the malfoys. He's so stupid."

Sonia laughed. "Elrohir, this is my brother Descartes. descartes, this Elrohir."
