"Not for me. Might e for them." Sonia said casually.

Maik raised an eyebrow "I suppose."

"But Descartes knows me, and Elrohir knows you. they know we're safe." Sonia said smiling warmly.

"Yeah. I guess you're right." Maik replied. Just then there was a tapping at the door. Maik opened it, and an owl fluttered in and gave her a letter, then flew off. Maik read the letter and scowled.

Sonia's face scrunches up a little. "What's wrong?"

"Fudge wants me back to work tomorrow." Maik grumbled "Needs me to fill a position."
She crumpled up the letter and tossed it at Aslan, who dodged it and began chasing it around the room.

Sonia watched the cat and smiled muttering something about wonderous creature and sounding a lot alike dumbledore. "I'm sorry to hear that. Does anyone like fudge?" she asks with a slight smirk.

Maik snorted rudely. "Not that I know of. Pompus idiot."
She watched Aslan for a moment, thinking about something. "Do you have a place to stay?" She asked Sonia. She had realized that Sonia had arrived rather suddenly and that it was getting late.

Sonia blushed. "Um, not really."

Maik kicked the paper away from Aslan and watched him tear after it. "You can stay here if you want."
She waved her wand and a pillow and blanket flopped onto Sonia's head. "i wouldn't mind."

Sonia laughs softly. "Thanks" she said. "I don't really wanna stay home with mom and dad gone."

Maik chuckled. "I don't blame you."
She glanced at a clock on the mantlepiece and sighed grumpily. "I better go to bed, what with work and everything tomorrow."

Sonia nodded and made herself at home on the couch.

Maik went to her room and pounded her punching bag for a while, imagining it was Fudge's face. Then she went to bed, staring through the darkness until she fell asleep.

Sonia woke earlly the next morning and began to make breakfast for herself and Maik.

Aslan poked Maik and yowled in her face, telling her to wake up. "Goway. Don wanna go school." Maik mumbled and swatted at him, missed, and fell off the bed. "Ow."
Maik sat up and changed into her robes for work, shooting occaisonal glares at Aslan. Eventually she emerged from her room sniffing curiously at the smells of breakfast coming from the kitchen.

Sonia hummed as she stirred batter for pancakes. She had already set out a lot of what she made on the table so Maik could eat. She didn't even here the arourer come in.

"you're up early." Maik said, using up almost half of her quota of words for the morning. She really wasn't a morning person usually. Aslan sat impatiently by his food dish, meowing at her to fill it for him.

Sonia laughed. Setting the batter down she went and poured some catfood in the bowl. (Aslan is a cat right). She gently petted aslan before going back to the batter. "Well, I was woken up by an owl that smacked into the door.

"Oh?" Maik said, glancing around. "Did it bring a letter?"
She poked around, looking for her coffee and tripping over her scuffed black boots she had left on the floor the night before.
