"Without a doubt." Maik chuckled. "He's infatuated with her. Not that it's hard to notice."

Descartes smiled and without thinking said. "You have a beautiful laugh." Once he realized what he had said he blushed a deep crimson. "I'm sorry. I. . .er. . .shouldn't have." he whispers looking at the floor.

Maik just blinked. And blinked. Eventually she moved on to moving her mouth soundlessly. "No. That's....allright." She finally managed. "Thank you." Her eyes had changed slightly, the blue and white shot with streaks of gold. Hopefully she wasn't blushing uncontrollably too.

Descartes looked up at her and smiled. "You're most welcome although it's the truth." he said. He hoped Fudge was no where close. He would definately know.

Cue the uncontrollable blushing. "Thanks." Maik said again, giving him a large smile. if this kept up, controlling her expresssions, and her emotions, was going to become rather difficult.

Descartes bit his lip as Johnson moved by going somewhere. He shook his head watching the nervous wreck going through a shelf full of books. Obviously looking for something to catch Sonia and Descartes off.

Maik formed a snowball in her hand and threw it at Johnson's head, scoring a direct hit.

Descartes tried to stiffle his laughter behind his hand. He watched the fairly annoyed man leave stomping and inadvertantly waking up Sonia. Descartes muttered uder his breath a leglocker curse making Johnson fall on his face.

Maik laughed outright at that. Somthing she hadn't done in a long time. She dropped another snowball on Johnson's head, not noticing that Sonia was awake.

Sonia laughed softly. She watched Johnson crabcrawl backwards out of the room. She yawned. "How much longer?"

Descartes smiled. "I'm not sure, but you should get some sleep."

Sonia nodded.

"Didn't know you woke up." Maik said. "But Descartes is right, you should go to sleep. As should he." She wagged a finger at him threateningly.

Descartes chuckled softly and nodded. "Okay, we'll both get some sleep." With that they oth layed down and fell asleep. Sonia snoring softly.

Smiling to herself Maik leaned against the bars again. It had been nice talking to Descartes. But she was worried that Fudge might attack Sonia next instead of him. If Fudge did, then theere was no telling what Elrohir might do about it.

Descartes muttered in his sleep. He didn't snore like sone but sleep talked instead.

Maik leaned a little closer to the bars, trying to decifer what Descartes was saying. It felt a little like eavesdropping, but her curiosity was winning over her sense of propriety.

Descartes turned away from Maik. "How do I tell her?" he yawns and turns again towards Maik.

Embarrassment beat out both propriety and curiosity. Maik edged away from the bars and leaned against the wall next to the cell instead. Tell who what? Maybe talking in your sleep is a bad thing afterall.

Descartes whispers her Elrohir's name. "How do I tell her, Elrohir. She's your sister. I need you help.?

"Hey Maik!"
Maik jerked her head up as Elrohir walked into the room. "The closing arguments are about to start, if you want to go." He told her.
"You'll stay in here?" Maik asked, glancing into the cell at Descartes.
"Yes, if you want to go." Elrohir replied, following her gaze into the cell. "have they been asleep all this time?"
Maik shook her head. "Descartes was awake for a long time....talking to me."
Elrohir looked from Descartes back to maik again, realization finally dawning in his face. "You..."
"What?" Maik asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Him..." Elrohir stuttered.
Maik just laughed and patted him on the shoulder as she left. "See you in an hour, Elrohir."
He satraed after her, her laughter echoing down the hallway.

Sonia stirred unnable to sleep. She watched the stunned Elrohir stare after Maik. "What is it?" she whispered staring at Maik's back.
