Elrohir started and whirled around. "I..She.." He stammered and looked around in confusion.

Sonia put a finger to her lip motioning for him to be quiet. "It will be okay. What did they say?" she asked whispering so not to wake Descartes.

"Who? Maik and Descartes?" he asked, glancing in at Descartes.

"No, the other people at court." Sonia said.

"I'm not sure, I didn't hear all of it." Elrohir admitted. "I was outside the door. Eavesdropping really."

Sonia nodded. "okay."

"Are you?" Elrohir asked, moving a step closer. Jail didn't interact well with her, by the looks of things.

Sonia tilted her head to the side. "Huh? I mean sort of?" she said blushing slightly.

Elrohir smiled and leaned against the bars, much as Maik had earlier. Had he known that he probably would have laughed. Hopefully this wouldn't go on much longer and Sonia would be able to go home again. Hopefully...

Sonia smiled. "So er, do you think my brother has told Maik yet?" she asks. Her eyes sparkled mischieviously.

"No." Elrohir replied, relishing the thought of Descartes doing so. "Though he might have gotten close. He was talking to her for quite a while."

Sonia smiled. "That's good. I want him to be able to talk about his crush to someone else." she said jokingly. Her smile faded. "I miss my parents." she had barely said it audible enough to be heard.

Elrohir slowly reached through the bars and took her hand silently. It was so hard for him to see her unhappy like this.

SOnia looked at him. Tears glistened at the sides of her eyes. She smiled sadly, but smiled for him. "I'm sorry. I'm being pathetic."

"No you're not." Elrohir smiled kindly. "I'd be surprised if you didn't cry." He offered her his hankerchief through the bars to wipe her eyes.

Sonia blushed and took it. "Thanks." she said dabbing the tears away.

Elrohir pulled out his pocket watch and checked the time. There was only about twenty minutes left, and tehn the Huberts would have to recieve the court's verdict. And what would he and Maik do if it went wrong? He didn't know what to think of Maik anymore, now that things had gotten...complicated.

"Whats wrong?" sonia asked. she could see something was bugging him.

"I'm worried. That's all." Elrohir said slowly. "Maik's attitude has changed, I think. She's becoming less predictable."

Sonia's eyes widened. "She was predictable before?" she asked in sarcasm. She smiled before laughing softly. "SOrry."
