"Only to me." Elrohir laughed softly. "But now..." he shook his head. "Now she.."
he broke off suddenly as Johnson entered the room. "Bring them in." He told Elrohir, indicating the Huberts

Sonia frowned. She gently shook Descartes. "Time to go." she said bitting her lip.

Descartes nodded and stood beside Sonia. They waited for Elrohir's instructions.

Elrohir walked them back to the court room, where Maik was waiting by the door. her face had resumed its stone-like appearance, but Elrohir thought he saw it waver, just for a moment, as they walked by. They entered the court room and resumed their previous positions. Elrohir and Maik standing behind the Huberts.

Descartes and Sonia looked at each other as the waited for Fudges final decision.

Fudge stood and cleared his throat loudly. "After reviewing the evidnce presented, the court has come to a decision." He paused dramaticly and looked around the room. Maik rolled her eyes impatiently.

Sonia chewed nervously on her lip. She glanced at Descartes before giving Fudge her attention.

"It is the decision of this court that Descartes Hubert and Sonia Hubert have all memories of their parents erased." Fudge finally said. Maik's eyes widened in shock, adn Elrohir's jaw dropped slightly. ALL their memories??

Sonia's head lowered and she began to weep. "No. why?" she muttered.

Descartes was shocked. he couldn't remember a time without his parents. He would have hardly any memory left and it was for Sonia. He walked over and held Sonia.

Maik quickly regained her composure, not wanting Fudge to notice. However, Elrohir's face hardened with anger, his fists clenched at his sides. How could Fudge DO this??

Sonia just held onto Descartes as the wand was pointed towards her. she sobbed and begged softly for them not to but it was too late.

Faster than they could blink, Elrohir moved. His fist flew threw the air and connected with the man's face as he said the spell, knocking him to the ground. He stood in front of Descartes and Sonia, rage contorting his face.

Sonia stood shocked. "Elrohir." she whispered blinking. She was pulled back by Descartes who looked nervously at Maik.

Maik's eyes had gone a peculiar shade of crimison. She stood next to Elrohir, in front of the Huberts. This was the real reason the two were never apart. not simply because Elrohir alone understood Maik, but because seperate they were formidable, but together, they were unstoppable.

Descartes held Sonia close unsure what was going to happen. he felt his big brother duty kick in. He knew he had to protect his little sister. Even though she was old enough and very capable enough. He still wanted to be there. "Stay still." he whispered kissing her forehead. Sonia nodded.

Fudge and everyone else in the courtroom was frozen in shock. He looked from Maik to Elrohir, not understanding their actions, but not wanting to try and stop them either. At least, not himself. "Stand aside." He told them. "Or I will arrest you both. They must be punished!"
"You will not harm them." Maik said in a low menacing tone, a tone she used on Death Eaters

Descartes's eyes widened slightly. "Ms. Maik, we don't want any trouble." he whispered.

"Exactly." Fudge agreed. "Now, the both of you step aside."
Maik turned her head slightly and looked at Descartes. "As you wish." She said in resignation, and both she and Elrohir stepped aside and left them to their fate. If Descartes hadn't said anything, she never would have moved.

Descartes hung his head hiding his eyes in his long bangs. He prayed that Maik nor fudge could see the tears threatening to spill forth. He didn't know why, but he felt like he and Sonia had done something and justly deserved this punishment.

Sonia looked at Descartes as though he had lost his mind. She pulled away from him and stood backing away from him. "You are insane." she whispered.

Elrohir looked from Sonia to Descartes. Obviously he was missing something here. Why had Descartes given up so easily? The man was raising his wand once again to wipe their memories. Elrohir stood away from the Huberts this time.
