"All right. " Elrohir said, opening the door for Sonia. Still couldn't get over the whole boobie trap thing.

Maik smiled slightly. "makes two years seem awfully nice. Thanks for telling me." Knowing why Descartes had acted the way he did was rather comforting. It had been bothering her a lot.

Descartes nodded. "I should have stood up for Sonia. SHe needs someone too."

Sonia thanked him as they walked through the mazelike gardens.

"You did stand up for her." Maik reassured him "As much as you could."

Elrohir looked about him at the garden. "You have a nice house."

"Yeah, Courtney does." Sonia said staying in the middle of the isle equally away from each plant.

Descartes shook his head. "I could have done more to protect her. I'll just do better." He smiled broadly.

Maik sat back on the couch and regarded him for a moment. "How much do you think will change when Mrs. Higgs gets that letter?"

Elrohir absently touched the plants as they walked past, his mind elsewhere. It seemed strange, walking in a garden at a time like this, when so many things could dissapear forever.

Morgan sat up, looking around. the chain was digging into her neck. How much time had passed? had she nocked her head? where was Courtney? Morgan stood, and the world seemed to tilt out from under her. she groped for the wall, and held her head in her hands. Morgan tucked the time turner into the neck of her robes, and looked up. this couldnt be courtney's house, and it didnt look like hogwarts. so where in the world was it? Soft footsteps announced Courtney's arrival. "Where are we?" asked Morgan. "Who are you?" said Courtney, her eyebrows raised. "It's me, Morgan. Remeber? Or do u?" when Courtney continued 2 look confused, Morgan wondered if she had amnesia. Courtney slowly walked away, always turning her head around 2 look back at Morgan. Morgan turned 2 go the other way, when a hand came out from the back of a suit of armour and grabbed Morgans Upper arm. "what the..." said Morgan, and she turned around to face..."Courtney! But...But, you, and you where just, how in the world?" "That was me, 3 days ago." "oh."said Morgan.

A plant went to snap on it but Sonia bopped it on the head with her wand scolding it.

Descartes sighed. "I'm not sure, but I hope our meeting won't." he said blushing.

Courtney pulled Morgan along. "We must not make contact with anyone else. It could ruin the very fabric of time and space. Let's go." she said as they then apparated to right outside hogwarts grounds.

"Thanks." Elrohir said, eyeing the plants suspiciously. Obviously this wasn't an ordinary garden.

"No." Maik agreed "I hope not." Suddenly she got an idea, her eys lighting up. "You play chess?"

Descartes nodded. "Um, sort of." his cheeks were red.

Sonia laughed spftly. "It wasn't deadly, but its bite could knock you out for three days."

"Good!" Maik said happily. She flicked her wand and a table with the chess set floated over. "I'll let you be black."

Elrohir glared at the nasty plant. "Why exactly are there man eating plants in here?" He poked at one with a stick experamentally, staying well away from it just in case.

"The higgs have as many enemies as voldemort himself does. It's security." Sonia explained. "Mr. Higgs had the idea, Mrs. Higgs planted and grew them, and trained them."

Descartes smiled. "I prefer black anyways." he says.

Morgan grummbled, dissapointed at making the most simple mistake in time travel. "Sorry. So, could i finally get my question answered? Where in the world are we?"

"Well, believe it or not right outside hogwarts grounds. We'll have to go through the forest."

"Security..interesting." Elrohir said thoughtfully. "Well, whatever works."

Maik grinned with pleasure as she set up her pieces. She could tell Descartes wasn't the best of chess players, and that made it so much more fun.

Descartes was nervous. He knew Maik would eat him constantly. He didn't care.

Sonia laughed softly.

Maik moved one of her pawns forward and waited for Descartes. Just playing with him was fun, regardless of whether or not she won. Even though she was fairly confident that she would.

Elrohir smiled. He liked making Sonia laugh. She didn't do it often enough. He carefully reached out and took her hand, squeezing it gently.

Descartes smiled and moved a pawn forward. He sighed contently. "It's fun to be able to play a nice game of chess without any outrageous bets with Sonia."

Sonia blushed slightly. "Er, heh." she said laughing nervously.
