Morgan looked down the hall, and crept up against the wall, the beconed Sonia to follow her. once they both had their backs against the wall, Morgan turned down to look in the opposite direction where foot steps were echoing. Quite suddenly, Courtney edged around the corner, trying to be quiet. a sheef of parchment stuck oddly out of her pocket, and she looked as if she were hidding from someone. "Courtney!" whispered Morgan, to get her attention.

Courtney startled. "Where the hell ya been?" she asked then saw Sonia. "What's going on. Never mind. Let's get back to the prsent."

Morgan nodded, then tapped the chain with her wand. The golden chain streached like a rubber band, and Morgan snapped it around Sonia's neck, then turned to Courtney, offering the chain. Suddenly, A girl came marching up behind the girls, looking angry. "Who are u?" screamed the girl, looking furiously at Courtney. It was Courtney's Older self. The one who had spotted Morgan the first time Morgan and Courtney had come back to the past. Then Courtney turned on Morgan. "U again! What do u want?" "Nothing!" answered Morgan holding up her hands. She had handed Sonia the time turner.

Courtney growled pulling herself off Morgan. "eave her alone and find your bastard of a husband." she said.

Elrohir smiled. Things didn't seem so bad now. He wasn't usually a pessimist, but circumstances being as they were he was feeling more anxious than he had been in a long time.

Morgan nodded snydly, and Sonia flashed the small hour glass around the appropreate times, in reverse. The world speedid around at supper speed, but going forward instead. In a blaze of light, all three girls staggered around Courtney's living room. Morgan looked around at her new friends. "Well, find the people u want to say good-bye to, because we have five minutes, before the Time Corrector sinks in." she announced grimly, then gave both Courtney and Sonia a hug.

Sonia ran to find Elrohir. She quickly hugged him and kissed him softly. "Good bye." she wispered in tears.

Descartes got the idea ad went to find Maik.

Morgan smiled sadly, but jumped when a voice came from the corner. "Morg, what about us?" It was Hermione, sitting with Harryand Ron, who were keeping Athorin tied in a chair. Morgan gave all three a hug as well, and said, "Well, u might not remember this, but we'll still b friends. Look on the bright side, u'll all still owe me 1." Ron snorted, but when Athorin laughed, Ron kicked him in the shins.

"Good bye." Elrohir said. He kissed her gently and held her close as a tear fell down his cheek. " I WILL find you again."

"Two minutes!" Morgan called out.

Sonia reached up to wipe it away. "I know." she whispers.

By this time Descartes had found Maik. "Two minutes." he sighed and he was to much of a wimp to telll her how he felt.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione just looked at eachother, then sat down silently, while Athorin snorted at the tears and sadness being passed around.
Morgan glanced at her watch again. "That's one minute, now." she said glumly.

Descartes didn't give Maik a chance to say anything. He leaned in kissing her deeply.

Maik kissed him back, holding him desperately as time slipped away and her tears fell silently.

There was a flash of white light, all sound was ringing in everyone's ears. nothing seemed real, or fake. Suddenly, everyone was back, in a large hall, with banners swaying from a high ceiling that looked as if it opened up to the sky above. Morgan brushed dust off her indigo dress robes, and looked around the room, then waved at Harry, Hermione, and Ron, who came rushing towards her from the corner they had been standing in. Athorin was still tied to a chair, wondering why the hec he was here, anyway. Courtney was over by the refreshments stand, looking over at Sonia, who was twirling a string of her hair lazily, looking over at a boy named Elrohir, who was talking to his sister, Maik, while another boy, Descartes, looked closely at Maik with intrest. Everyone was back 2 the scene of the crime, The Yule Ball. (lol! I made a funny!)

"This is not going to work." Maik grumbled.
"Why didn't you say so before?" Elrohir hissed, "Like BEFORE we left the ministry?"
Maik scowled at him. "I DID say so before. But if the letter IS here, then I need to find it. Even if I do have to pretend to be a student for a while."

Sonia remained quiet as she watched Descartes silently admire the new girl from a far.

"We've been here for hours. Maybe we should just give up." Elrohir suggested.
"You're right. I have more important things to do. The Hubert letter doesn't really concern me." Maik replied. "Since we both know the Huberts were innocent anyway. I just need to find Caldwell."

Sonia could easily read lips. She caught Hubert. "Crap, they're talking about us."

Maik turned to go, followed closely by Elrohir. She hadn't mentioned where Caldwell was, but he had the distinct feeling she knew. "Maik, you aren't going to do anything drastic, are you?"
Maik didn't answer, which was just as good as a conformation. They walked past a boy and a girl, trying not to draw attention to themselves in the process. For a moment, Elrohir thought he recognized them, but he dismissed it.
