The Yule Ball

"It's a hospital. The only confusing thing is, why am i still here?" Sonia pouted.

"I'm...not sure." Elrohir replied slowly. He shot a glance at Descartes. He should explain that one.

"Sonia, please, we're just worried what memories of the deatheater's you retained." Descartes says softly

"None." she lied. "I'll forget them all if I could just get out of here."

Elrohir raised an eyebrow, not sure he believed her. "Are you sure? Or are you just saying that?"

"I'm sure." Sonia said. "Knowing my luck the ministry will probably want me to tell them what memories I got, and I never want to go back."

Elrohir didn't need to ask why Sonia didn't like the ministry. But, he was still a little aprehensive about the whole situation. "Im sure you'll be out soon." He said with confidence he really didn't feel.

"Yeah. You still owe me that milkshake." she says heading for the girl's bathroom.

Elrohir laughed. "I'll get it, I promise."

"You better." she mumbled before shutting the door. A few minutes later she returned and plopped down on her bed.

Somewhere in the ministry a clock started chiming. Elrohir started "what time is it?" He pulled his watch out and looked at it. It was much later than he'd thought. "I have to go, or I'll miss Maik before she leaves."

"That's okay." Descartes says smiling. "I'll explain it to Sonia once she gets out."

"Thanks." Elrohir said, putting his watch back kn his pocket. "maybe I'll run into her on my way out."

Descartes nods. "Bye." he says watching ELrohir leave.

Elrohir walked down the hallway to the lobby. He sneaked a look out of the corners of his eyes to see if Sonia was around before he left.

Sonia looked at Elrohir. "Leaving?" she asks softly.

"Yes." Elrohir replied, stopping short. "I have to talk to Maik before she leaves."
He watched her closely "Will you be allright if I leave?"

Sonia shrugs. "I'm a big girl." she gives him a mischievious smile. "I'll try to behave."

Elrohir laughed. "You better, or you won't get that milkshake I promised you." He wagged a finger at her in mock severity

"Now wait a minute." she pouted. "You said that was if he had to stay overnight. You never said I had to behave."

She had him there. Couldn't argue with that.
"I guess you're right." Elrohir admitted. "I didn't."
He smiled slightly "However.. if you don't behave then I won't give you one of these." He leaned over and kissed her gently on the nose.
