Maik went an even deeper shade of red. "Thank you." She whispered. "You don't look so bad yourself."

Descartes smiled but winces. "Maybe we should go in?" he says blushing.

"I'm sorry." Maik said. "I forgot about your hands." She got to her feet and started brushing the snow off herself.

Descartes stood and helped her. He blushed. "It's okay."

Maik shook her head slightly and poked a finger at him. "Stop being so brave, your hands are turning redder than your face."

"True." Descartes says stuffing his hands in his pockets.

Maik kicked some snow out of the way and started walking back to her parents' house, staying close to Descartes.

Descartes wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

Maik smlied and leaned closer to him. "Thanks."

Descartes smiled. "You're welcome." he says smiling as they waked towards Maik's home.

Maik opened the gate for them and started up the walk, noting her motorcycle had been returned to it's usual place inside the gate.

Descartes smiled when he saw Maik checking out the motorcycle. "Your pride and joy?"

Maik grinned proudly and patted the bike lovingly. "Yes! I let Elrohir borrow it to go see your sister. Guess he's back."

Descartes laughed softly. "I see, Sonia would probably enjoy herself."

"Who wouldn't?" Maik asked, stepping up to the front door.

Descartes chuckled. "I have yet to find out."

"Do you want to find out?" Maik asked with a smile.

Descartes arched an eyebrow. "I, um, you mean ride it? Now?" he blushed deeply.

"Well, yeah." Maik replied. "Unless you don't want to."

"No, I'm just a little nervous."
