Maik chuckled. "That's understandable I guess.

Descartes smiled. "Well, let's try it. Maybe I won't embarrass myself to bad."

"I think you'll be fine." Maik replied. "I'll go get you a helmet."
She stepped into the house and went to find where Elrohir had left her helmet and keys.

Descartes waited patiently outside.

Maik grabbed her helmet and keys and the extra helmet and took them outside where Descartes was waiting. She tossed him the extra helmet and grinned. "You ready?"

Descartes slid it on. "Uh yeah."

Maik laughed and put her helmet on and climbed onto the motorcycle.

Descartes climbed on behind her. He smiled. "This is safe, right?"

"Usually." Maik replied, starting the engine and riding through the gate. "Better hold on, I go fast." Maik called back to Descartes.

Descartes gulped before holding onto Maik's hips. He gave a nervous, apologetic smile.

"Don't be afraid." Maik smiled and opened the throttle, sending them shooting down the street.

Descartes chuckled. He was actually liking this.

Maik turned sharply around a corner, her knee barely a foot off the ground, enjoying herself enourmously.

Descartes was slightly scared but the adrenaline rush kept him from freaking too bad.

Maik slowed slightly and looked over her shoulder at Descartes. "You still with me?"

"Uh, yeh." He says blushing slightly. "A couple bugs in my teeth, but I'm still with you."

"Glad to hear it." Maik laughed

Descartes gave a small smile showing off his pearly whites.

"Showing off the bugs in your teeth?" Maik teased

"Yep." Descartes says laughing.
