"Yesh." Maik agreed with a shrug. "I'm not sure why though, I could see him being upset about it. He never liked your father much."

Descartes winced. "Yeah, so I gathered. I wouldn't have liked him either if I had been your father."

"He tends to hold grudges." Maik said apologeticly. "But he doesn't blame you at least."

Descartes laughs softly. "Good, cause then I get to see the most beautiful witch ever."

Maik blushed. "You're just saying that."

"No, I'm not." Descartes says. "Why would I just say that."

"I don't know." Maik said quietly. "I guess you wouldn't, would you?"
She regarded his face for a moment. Surely he wouldn't lie to her, try to hurt her.

Descartes looked up at her for a moment locking eyes. "I would never hurt anyone, much less you."

Maik smiled softly. "Thank you." She whispered, meeting his gaze.

Descartes bit his lip momentarily contemplating before taking a risk. He gently brought his lips to hers kissing her softly.

Maik returned the kiss, her hand slipping to the side of his neck.

Descartes smiled when Maik didn't deeck him. He locked his eyes on hers as the hair on the back of his neck stood up because of her touch.

Maik touched the raised hairs on Descartes' neck and laughed softly. "That mean I'm a good kisser?"

Decartes blushed deeply. "Very." he whispers.

"You're not so bad either." Maik replied with a smile, a blush creeping into her cheecks.

Descartes smiled. "Thank you. I don't have much practice."
