Maik shrugged. "I don't know, probably sneak out and see her regardless. Do whatever he can think of to annoy your father. Once Elrohir finds something to hold on to, he won't let go of it for anything."

Descartes smiled softly. "That's sweet of you to say." he chuckles. "I am pretty sure I can talk my father into removing his petition of their courtship."

Maik looked up. "You think so? He seems pretty set about it. And after what my father did..." She shook her head and sighed.

Descartes laught. "My father deserved it. He was being an arse."

Maik half smiled. "Well, that's true."

Descartes kissed Maik's cheek. "Was everything peaceful while I was gone?"

Maik smiled. "Yes, thank you."

Descartes smiled then looked at his watch and wrinkled his nose. "I have to go to work. Stupid meeting."

Maik pouted slightly. "That's no fun. You want to come back after?"

Descartes laughed with a mechevious look. "You know what you said didn't sound right." he teased.

Maik scratched her chin for a moment then laughed. "No. It didn't, did it?"

Descartes smiled. "I'll be back soon." he says kissing her cheek.

"Alright." Maik smiled. "Try not to fall asleep in your meeting."

Descartes'seyes widened. "Never. To do such, is blasphemey." he said in mock fright. "G'night." with that he disappeared out the door.

Maik wandered around the cabin for a few minutes, unpacking her things and trying to find something to entertain herself. She finally settled on trying to mold something out of a piece of ice, not entirely sure what she was making.

"You're being incredibly reckless." Aslan hissed to Elrohir. "I expect this from Maik, but not you!"
Elrohir peeked over the Huberts' wall, not really listening to him. "I have to see her Aslan. With or without Darius' permission. Now give me a boost."
Aslan glared at him and helped Elrohir up over the wall, then changed into a cat and hopped over. "You're insane."

Selena was tending to Darius nose with shaky hands. She was too scared to stop him ad Descartes was to awestruck to heed her advice.

The cabin suddenly started creaking like someone was walking on the roof.

Elrohir crept silently around the house until he was below Sonia's balcony.
"I don't suppose you found a way to get up there." Aslan grumbled.
"Actually, I did." Elrohir replied, pointing to a drainpipe. He jumped up and started climbing up the wall, Aslan perched on his shoulder.

Maik froze and looked up at the roof, pulling her wand out and holding it at the ready.

Sonia was sitting on the setee on her balcony reading a dark arts book. Maybe soon she would be able to see Elrohir. Her father's distrust of the aurorer seemed to be waning.

(((Zap the roof!)))

There was a loud thud as a cloaked figure could be seen landing outside as though they had just hopped of a broom.

Elrohir pulled himself over the edge of the balcony and smiled. "Hello." He whispered. Aslan hopped onto the balcony behind Elrohir and sat sulkily, glaring up at him.

Maik glared and shot a spell at the roof, then opened the door and shot another spell at the figure outside.

Sonia gasped. Shen she had first seen the strange hands she had jumped up and fished her wand out of her pocket. Now that she knew it was Elrohir, it didn't matter. Dropping the wand, she ran towards him, hugging him tightly. "I didn't think I'd ever et to see you again."

The figured dodged to the right smoothly. "Is that how you treat all your guests?"
