Elrohir smiled and returned the kiss. "Well, I couldn't get over the wall all by myself."
Maik sneered and stretched her hand out, covering the ground in a layer of ice, then shot another spell at the deatheater. "I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific. I'm looking for a lot of slimeballs like you."
"What makes you say that?" Elrohir asked. "Why would he want to apologize to me?"
"Friend?" Maik laughed dryly. "Haven't you heard the rumors? I don't HAVE friends." She grabbed the deatheater by the neck and shoved him roughly against the wall of the house, her wand pointed at his forehead. "Now tell me why you're really here."
Thornton groaned and took a wild punch at Maik. "Ah, but how do you know I'm not insulting them? How do you know I'm not telling the truth? Darius does not tell his children everything."

Sonia sighed. "You better. Once he sees you aren't home, he'll go looking for you. If he finds out you came before he gave you his apology. . ." her voice trailed off.
