Maik dodged the punch easily and sent another into Thornton's nose. "You're a liar Thornton, you always have been."

"You're right." Elrohir nodded. "I'd better get going then."

Sonia kissed him softly. "Be careful. I'd die if anything happened to you." She tells Elrohir softly. "I'm worried I feel as though something dark is brewing. I haven't felt this way since. . ." her voice trailed off.

Thornton groaned pulling back and covering his nose. "am I lying? or are you lying to yourself, Maik? Descartes and Sonia are both gullible. They love their father and would never doubt him. Would they believe he never truly turned good? That he's really still a death eater?" He noticed this didn't seem to phase Maik. "How do you think I found out where you were?"

"Since what?" Elrohir asked, suddenly worried.

Maik glared at Thornton, her mind bogged down with confusion. What if he was telling the truth? She grabbed him and slammed him into the wall again. "Prove it, slime. Why should I believe you?"

Thornton groaned. He reached in his pocket and shakily pulled out a pile of envelopes already opened. They were held together by a rubber band. "Here"
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Sonia shook her head. "Go. I will tell you later."

Maik took the envelopes and looked them over suspiciously. "What are these about?"

Elrohir sighed and nodded. Giving her a quick kiss he called for Aslan and started climbing down from her balcony.

Sonia watched them go. She gave Aslan a look that said 'watch over him well'. As soon as Elrohir couldn't see her face, she let her tears spill forth. She knew something terribel was going to happen.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Thornton rolled his eyes. "Read them." he says twisting from her grip. "Maybe then you'll believe me." he says running towards the cabin door.

Aslan nodded slightly to Sonia, not sure what she was so worried about. He quickly hopped off Elrohir's shoulder as they approached his apartment and changed back into huma form again.

With a quick glance at Thronton Maik pointed a finger at him, encasing him in ice before he could reach the cabin. "You're not going anywhere until I read these." She growled and opened the first envelope, wondering what she would find.

The letters were correspondances between Darius and Thornton. They were in Darius' handwriting. The first page of the letter seemed perfectly normal talking of Sonia's seventeenth birthday but the second page was completely different. It spoke of SOnia learning dark arts spells faster than her brother and how she would move up in the 'ranks' of death eaters once she was officially one of them. 'all it takes is a little deception and corruption, and she will become one of us.'

"Oh. no..." Maik whispered. She had to get these to her father. "Time for a little trip scum." She growled at Thornton. "We're going to sort this out right now."

Elrohir stepped into his apartment and wandered in circles for a few minutes.

Darius groaned. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on Elrohir's door then braced himself to be blasted into next century by the boy.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Not that Thornton could object. He was still entirely encased in ice and therefore a willing companion.

Elrohir opened the door and looked down at Darius with obvious dislike. "Yes Mr. Hubert?"

Maik thawed Thornton enough to allow him to walk, then grabbed him by the collar and dragged him far enough away from the cabin to apparate to her fathe's house. "Now you get to explain to my father what's going on." Maik growled.

This made Thronton cringe completely into a shell. "Never." he hissed. He knew better to be fried by Darius then the ministry too. He wasn't stupid. Being fried once was enough.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Darius bit his lip. "May I speak with you?"

Maik slammed him against the gate. "That wasn't a request slime."

Elrohir nodded and stepped away from the door.

Darius dipped his head and cautiously walked in past Elrohir. He knew the boy was of good virtue and wouldn't attack.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Never said it was. I'm smart enough not to get my arse pummeled by more than one person." Thornton retorts.

"Sit down." Elrohir said, pointing to a chair and sinking into another.

"Oh, you can't help that." Maik sneered, punching him again.

Darius did so greatfully. "Thank you." He took another deep breath. He then looked Elrohir in the eye. "I came to apologize. I know I should not doubt you nor your motives for courting my daughter. I should have never overreacted the way I did. I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not ready to let her got. . .not yet."
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Thronton doubled over again and began weezing.

"So you're saying...I can see her again? And you'll take away your rules?" Elrohir said slowly, not sure he had heard right.

Maik jerked Thornton up again, ignoring his wheezing and slamming up against the gate again. "Here's what's going to happen Thornton. I am going to take you to my father, then you are going to explain this whole thing, and then, time permitting I will pummel you some more and then drag your sorry carcass to Azkaban. Understand?"

Darius nodded. "Yes, that is what I'm saying. All my rules are gone. Will you accept my apology?""
*~*~*~*~*~*
Thornton groaned. "Yes." he managed to hiss out his dark black eyes glinting at Maik.

Elrohir just blinked for a moment, slightly surprized. "Of course I will."

"Good." Maik snarled. She dropped him down and grabbed him by the arm, leading him into the house and to her father's study.

Thronton winced. His broken, bloody nose the center of all the pain.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Good, I could not bare my daughter to be so angry and upset because my silly worries." Darius says.
