🙄 sounds to me like a bunch of jealous people who have nothing better to do with their time and energy then to knock someone and something they obviously can't understand! If you think it's sooooo easy to direct a film, why don't you try?????and lets not forget Mel Gibson made this movie with his OWN MONEY!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but i've heard nothing but good things. I'm sure i'll buy it on DVD before i even rent it. but only because Kes said so 😛
Sorry kes, I know that you are just stating your opinion but since everyone has one, it is best then to look at the person's qualifications on "said" opinion to weigh its merit. SInce you are NOT an actor NOR are you a director, I will go along with the majority of the hollywood "know-alls" and the academy and say that Mel Gibson IS a very talented director!!!
As for the "flaws" and scenes that dont make any sense, why dont you name one! Maybe its you who doesnt understand! All movies have certain techincal flaws-the great,the good, and the bad ones! Many of the so called best movies of all time and mistakes and flub-ups. And if you dont believe me, check out internet movie database for movies like ...The Godfather, Citizen Kane, Star Wars,etc.
The Passion , was greatly done! Very intense scenes! Very moving and touching! It "moved" many people which is what real film is all about!!
Case in point!: A man who had murdered his girlfriend and had gotten totally away with it( the police had ruled it a suicide!) saw the movie and was so touched by the movie and his acknowlegment of his "sin", that he went to the police and confessed!!
That is a true story, check it out! I call that touching the audience with your film, which is every great directors goal!!
NOw, to the comments about what he is or isnt doing with the money! For those of you who made snide comments like "he gave 2 cents to charity",

Kes I didnt mean to call you ugly I ment to say I dont know if your ugly,but I didnt bother editing it since I just noticed it right now and your probaly not gonna look at it again.
I hj\ave to agree with you with the devil scenes in the PASSION it wasnt neccesary.The scenes with Judas being chased wasnt right either.The bible doesnt say anything about that.Mel should have just showed the hanging and thats all.But the devil scenes did give people A different idea of the devil.I never believed he was ugly of buffed out or red,he was once and angel until God cast him into the hell because he didnt want to obey.Just because he went to hell doesnt mean he got horns and got red and bulk 🙂.
But I think this movie is really and masterpiece because it was so violent and disturbing.
