Kes I didnt mean to call you ugly I ment to say I dont know if your ugly, but I didnt bother editing it since I just noticed it right now and your probaly not gonna look at it again.I hj\ave to agree with you with the devil scenes in the PASSION it wasnt neccesary. The scenes with Judas being chased wasnt right either. The bible doesnt say anything about that.Mel should have just showed the hanging and thats all.But the devil scenes did give people A different idea of the devil.I never believed he was ugly of buffed out or red,he was once and angel until God cast him into the hell because he didnt want to obey.Just because he went to hell doesnt mean he got horns and got red and bulk 🙂.
But I think this movie is really and masterpiece because it was so violent and disturbing.
P.S. MAVERICK ROCKS!!!
I understood you.
I dont mean the devil scenes are pointless, him/her walking or sliding around would be just find but those were just too stupid.
I'm not judging the content of the movie. I havent a clue what it says on the bible. I did however read that Judas hangs himself on the field he bought with the money he got from betraying Christ...yet in the movie he gives it back 😑
He might have given the money back I dont think it says in the bible that he did or didnt.
I went to the member pics thread and theres so many pages I didnt want to look through em all for you pic but I got to page 15 and nothin.I use to like this girl on KMC but after I saw her pic *shudders*I dont anymore.

I mean if he hanged himself in the field he bought he had no money to give back 😉
This movie did only move believers. If a person can confess to a murder because a movie made him do it, then that is a very weak person, indeed. Or, he just really wanted to confess and he figured this would be a good way to get attention. It was put together horribly, which is sad because I thought Braveheart and The Patriot were superb. Especially the latter because I love American History. But this movie was just too over the top. What was with the androgynous satan? That was creepy, but utterly pointless. I respect that he felt so strongly about making this that he paid for it out of his own pocket, and he has made that money back, but I don't respect that everybody is jumping on the Mel Gibson bandwagon and calling him a prophet and a tool of god. That's just ludicrous.
Kes>If you need the finances to make a movie, just get a bunch of credit cards. That's what Kevin Smith did to get the funding for Clerks, and it's worked out wonderfully for him.
can any Kes-dating appointments be made through PM's please?

and I'm not going to watch it, it's more than €5 to watch a damn movie here, and a christian movie is definitly not worth my money

To Kes: The deal about Judas was that he indeed did try to give the money back to the Sanhedrin but they refused it as it was "blood money" so he threw it at them and went out and hung himself. The Sanhedrin then took the money and bought a plot of land to bury Judas in as he was now unclean, that plot of land was then called Potter's field.
Now to the guy who stated that anyone who would let a movie tell him what to do was a weak person?? Come on! The movies story about Jesus and what he did, it what motivated him to accept his sin and take responsibilty for his actions, that is pretty mature not to mention the right thing to do, NOT WEAK!! As to him wanting attention?? NOT a real good way to get attention to something like murder now is it! He had already gotten away with the murder so that arguement is very lame not to mention pretty naive!
You must not know much about the bible, well I do and the movie WAS well planned out and did for the most part follow the facts. The parts about the devil taking a "asexual" form was done for a reason....the devil can come in all shapes, forms , and sexes. His job is to deceive. I thought that was a good choice! THe deal with the "baby" antichrist and the demon children to me was not needed but that was something Mel Gibson must have seen in his "mind" when he read about the story of Judas and what guilt he went through. You might know history about the time of the "Patriot" or "Braveheart" but you obiviously dont know THIS story because it was pretty much dead ON!
One of my favorite scenes was the one with the snake in the garden , where Jesus stomps the head of the snake! Its called a metaphor! You know it was fortelling of the time when Jesus will come back and do that exact thing to Satan! Also the scene at the end with the "tear" from heaven was GREAT cinema! So where the touching scenes of Mary remembering the first time Jesus fell as a child and how she held him(very touching) and the interaction between the two , where she was calling Jesus in for supper and their great MOther/Son relationship. If you dont have children then you probably wouldnt understand!

The man committed murder and you're talking about the right thing to do?! He was a ****ed up guy that saw the scene of Christ and the other guy that was crucified and probably mixed fantasy with reality!

One does not need to read the bible to enjoy the movie or understand its story and meaning. That is the point.

Come on you dont actually think that I was refering to the "murder" as the right thing to do?? Stop and think , wasnt it more likely I was refering to him accepting responsibity for his actions as the "right thing to do!"Do you know what a conscience is? The movies meaning must have hit home with this guy , he might have been "mixed up" when he committed the murder but he definately was thinking straight when he admitted his sin and confessed to the police!
The point about "knowing" the bible IS THIS: you are right to enjoy the movie you dont need to know it but to be able to proclaim that the movie is NOT put together well or done well you NEED to know what you are talking about! This IS history and well documented History at that! As far as those who didnt like it , I am sure they are in the minority and probably doubt or hate the story of Jesus in the first place. For one who is educated on the facts, it was well done. It was VERY long over due to be made and shown! To me the bottom line facts speak for themselves...the movie is well on its way to possibly be the #1 movie of all time!! To me that weighs much more than the few negatives I hear here!
BTW, I do agree in your choice of "pics", Kes! I really like Angelina too.
