ok... back to the movie I guess
backfire, you seem to be confused. I was trying to say that you might be able to have an opinion on other types of movies even though you seen to favor horror movies but I was also saying that I for one dont put any validity on such an opinion because its is biased and really unrelivant to me!
Again tell the truth of how something happened by defination CANNOT be redundant, so read up on the word. You may find it boring that is another issue! How you found the torture an actual real person went through boring but the made up , fictional, over the top violence of TCM entertaining is beyond comprehension!
So back to your statement of being redundant: lets see..Jesus was beaten with fists, push down, deprived food and water, scrouged with different devices, forced to walk a great distance after torture carrying a heavy item, nails placed in both hands and feet, then a spear thrust into his side....where is the repeating of violence?? I see of series of totally different modes of torture!! Read up on the actual process of crucifixtion , that is how it happened! Leaving things out like scourging who be doing an injustice to the facts of the act!!
I know for a fact if this type of violence was done in some hollywood , typical teenage gore fest , directed by Toby Hooper, where some group of teens were tracked down by a crazed killer in a mask, and he whipped them with leather straps before he nailed them to a tree outside his home , you would find that totally interesting! Dont try to deny it.
Your opinion of the movie, bottom line does NOT matter , one hill of beans to me! I can see through to your motivation as to why you really didnt like it. You are welcome to your opinion , even though I know its wrong and misguieded. Why dont you try and take a national poll of the two movies - THE PASSION and your movie TCM and ask -Which is the better movie...but I bet you would be scared of the results!
