backfire, your attack on the movie means more to me and others because its about Jesus and what he endured. So its a little more than just a movie to me! I am not sure you can grasp that , but thats the truth.As for my statements about your taste in movies...I am simply stating that since I do not see TCM on the same level as The Passion, it doesnt concern me really that you didnt like it. If you had said for instance that you really enjoyed say The Ten Commandments, or even Schinlers List, which I also respect, then I might be more interested in why you didnt like The Passion.

That is not being "childish", that is being practical and logical. If you want to like a fictious character who kills people with a chainsaw, go for it! I obiviously do like fun type movies too, but I dont compare ....say Star Wars to say Tora,Tora ,Tora, Schidlers List, or other historical type movie.

but anyway, my probelm is NOT that he didnt simply not like the movie but he had to attack it with a "boring" and redundant statement. I DO have a problem with that. That goes beyond opinion. He knew it would insult people who really care about the story it told.

I noticed that the thread was increasing, but I didn't pay much attention before. Now that I been reading the last pages, I can truly say that the discussion ended awhile back. This thread has become nothing but recycle rants.

I said earlier don't take the movie too seriously. I stand by my early comment.

DId you even read the article?? It clearly states that it broke the US five day record. My reference to Wed. it that the Passion started on a Wed not the normal Friday which is what record it owns, for a movie opening on a Wed.- get it?

anyways it has many other records...MOst pre sold tickets for one, and one for europe, biggest opening day in Italy. Even if the movie is in the top ten of movies , that says volumes for it! Its a biblical movie in a secuilar world!

In my opinion the movie is boring. That is about as simple and logical as a person can get. That doesn't go beyond opinion, it is simply my opinion and I don't care if my opinions upset people. It's their problem for being stupid and insecure enough to care about the opinion of someone they have never met.

Just because she's a mod doesn't mean she can't have an opinion about it as well. Man, you say you're being logical and rationable, no you are not. You're being about as illogical as I can see. Being logical would be saying "okay, this guy doesn't like the movie, and he thinks it's boring, oh well, that's just him, I don't care what he thinks". That is being logical. Not this "you said it's boring and that's an attack on a movie, not an opinion".

Actually, I never compared any movies to the Passion, in fact, you're the one that brought up TCM in a thread about The Passion, probably because you had no relevent defense for the film so you had to do the time honored act of attackign a film I like because I happen to disagree with you.

I was perfectly content at discuss this film by itself, without comparing it to any other films. You were the one who did that, not me.

If you have so much trouble accepting my opinion as just that; an opinion, then you shouldn't be on a message board that people come to in order to discuss their different opinions.

Also, for you information I love Schindlers List, I think it's a masterpiece. I also love other historical movies, like BraveHeart and Platoon.

I'm not taking sides. I'm merely stating that you must accept BFs opinion of it. And that is his opinion, that it was boring and redundant. I dont care if that offends you! You are being to sensitive when a members opinion of a movie you like is negative. Then you say you dont care?! Then why be offended?
