I feel bad for snape...he really liked lily that was obvious but James and his gang were mean to snape. snape of course was probably friends with Tom riddle AKA Voldemort and Lucious malfoy and crabb and gloyes (sp?) parents...so he most likely followed them and became a death eater. but then saw what happened to lily who he loved and now he fights against Voldemort and tries to protect harry because he wants lily's son to live. the reason he acts mean to Harry is to avoid getting to close or to stop Voldemorts suspicions. any way I'm sure JK will let us know 😉

I know this theory has been thrown around on various fan site but what does everyone on here think? Im almost sure he's at least half vampire, the biggest clue so far coming in book 3. Snape set the students a warewolf essay focusing on recognition to expose Lupin, in the next lesson when Lupin returns he sets them a Vampire essay, this must be to get his revenge on Snape.

sounds reasonible.... or perhaps Snape is out to help Potter more then anyone imagines

okay..I do not think snape in a Vampire....remember snape never got along with James,lupin,peter,sriuis so it may of been his way of getting back at lupin from his years as a student at hogwarts.
