He is NOT DEADDDDDDDD!!!!!i really go with you icemanrocks, because it is really tru, Rowling wasnt elaborative with the explanation of the veil!I just think he is stuck between 2 worlds and he will get out..i mean dumbledore is powerfull and admitting that he is dead just like that and not doing anything bout it is really not like dumbledore..and i dont want sirius dead..😍he was i mean IS the best!!!!!🐰
I dont think sirius will be back it's important to the continuum of the story the whole devastating death and the break of harry and the change of he behavior to better or to worse....it was necessary to happen! sirius symbolize his freedom from the dursleyes and his connection to his dad (leave lupin aside for a moment)but his understanding his dad was not the man he suppose he was sirius will not will be by his side to deal with it.
harry must get his maddness point(the red line) and hunt voldemort
or get himself more muture and train to become a little stronger and stand infront voldemort in their next confront.
I bealieve:
1)wormtail will help him get into voldemort lair.
2)harry will use voldemort past against him. like calling him tom and try to turn his bad ideals against him to distract him.
to late to write more so R&R bb
once again, i wasn't reading the entire thread, so i'm just going to say that J.K. said she cried to her husband when she had Bellatrix ( i think )
kill Sirius. and wouldnt tell her husband who it was. i think that she couldnt take it so she left hints that she's going to bring Sirius back. She said to her husband " i just killed someone." and her husband said something like " well its not a little children's book, you have to do what you have to do"

ideas for the veil
right, it maybe far fetched but i like it!
going back to the 3rd book i remember that hermione used the special clock that enables her to reverse time. When harry and hermione use the clock at the end, dumbledore stresses the importance of them NOT BEING SEEN. Harry questions this but admits that if he saw himself he'd probably blow its head off!
This is where i had an idea of whats behind the veil. When a few Da Members go into the ministry of magic to on sirius' rescure mission they find a door which doesnt open to either alhomora! of sirius' knife and harry just dismisses it.
In this room there might be a back-door entrace to the veil which only allows a wizard to enter for a very short space of time. in this time harry is then able to go back in time, preferably to some time in grimald place. Harry is given the chance to make sirius live again, all he has to do is to persued him to kill himself as quickly as possible as the time is very short. To complicate the situation even more harrys past walks into the room!
and as we know harry said he'd kill a double of himself if he saw one, that is exactly what harrys past does, well tries to.
does harry kill himself in past and present or does he sacrifice losing his uncle past OR present.
(unfortantly im not very good at explaining myself, and im not to good at english but i hope you kinda get the jistof what im tring to say?)
I definitely think that Sirius 'died' too easily especially when Rowling hyped it up as a 'horrible, horrible death' and it happened just as things were going to right for Harry - plus the veil is supposed to be an enigma but maybe Dumbledore or someone knows something about it. Either way I agree with many people here in thinking that Sirius will be back because Rowling left the door wide open for his return - I mean he's already known as an escape artist from Azkaban so it would be just his style. If she doesn't - I think it will be somewhat like a loose end.

Wow that's a really good point and in regards to what someone else said below about Rowling crying when she killed him off - I basically think that the whole thing is an emotional journery for her and one of discovery as well because it's almost like she's got all the endings and answers already but builds the scenarios to work her way there in every book. That is why I think it might have been so emotional for her when she 'did the deed' so to speak but I still think it's a possibility for her to bring Sirius back and definitely not something we should count out just yet because she might change her mind. Even if she doesn't though, his presence will definitely be felt in the next book because Harry is sure to brood over it for a long time.

sure he was not killed by bella by I think his body was destroyed(vepuride sp?) when he enter this "portal" so in another words now he is like soul, without material body, just like after life...
