sirius death
All the point in sirius death is that:
1)harry wont live with sirius in the future
2)the Dursley's are important we dont want them to disappear totally from the story +petonia is his aunt! +another reasons
3)harry need to get more personal reasons against voldy to act against him
4)to let DD see that he waited enough and now he need to tell him about the prophecy
5)to get rid of harry's behavior
6)maybe let him have more cool stuff and gold
There are more I'm sure of that but this is enough to let u see there are good reasons behind her act
Sirius - Third Book, theory
Okay, I'm not sure where this kind of thread should be placed at but Phoe you can do any changes to it if you like, but I don't know if anyone noticed but...
In the third book at the end, they tell us that Sirius went after Remus(in his dog form) but a little while later we see Sirius again on the ground on all fours with Dementors surrounding him.
So do the Dementors have the ability to turn an Anamagi into his/her human form?
And it is said that the Dementors cannot sense animals as well as humans...so....Maybe the Dementors or something (*coughsnapecough*) has the ability to turn an anamagi back...
Possibly, that's a good point but maybe it's something trivial like for some reason he had just changed back into a human and the dementos got him. So either they would have been around and sensed as he was transforming back hence made a quick dash for him or yeah someone may have somehow tipped them off about Sirius and so they were waiting. Or something like that....
Well we know Sirius isn't really a dog, so as an animal, he'd still regain his human emotions, so when the Dementors start closing in around him, their power must have some overwhelming effect so as to make him transform back into a human.
I mean i doubt the Dementors have an actual power to transform animagus back into humans, if you know what i mean 😉
But as to what they were doing there, Snape was the only other one who knew Sirius was there and who would tip off the Dementors but he was unconscious at the time, wasnt he? So i doubt the Dementors had been tipped off about Sirius
anyone agree? 🙂

but remember that dementors can't sense animals...they feed off of humans.

^^ it's just my opinion tho
^That's a good explanation - to elaborate on it further I think that the dementors would probably have been confused as to why he didn't appear to be human but yet 'felt' like a human so to speak. Hence, when they closed in around him the effect that they have on humans would have effected Sirius to the extent where he couldn't mentally control his shape shifting and reverted back to human form.
How's that? 🙂
Wow this is tricky lol.
Hmmmmm........ I think, according to Tassie's theory anyway - that when the dementors first caught Sirius he was feeling alot of emotion hence it was easier to find him and then when he went to jail he found out about Lilly and Jame's deaths which he said was his own fault. The guilt, pain and regret would have weighed really heavily on him and he couldn't possibly rid himself of that despair easily whilst in jail. Which means that the dementors would still sense him there - the only thing that didn't make him insane like many of the other prisoners was that he knew Wormtail had been the spy, had been the one who gave up the location of the Potters to Voldemort so he had to stay consious to avenge them. However, he still felt guilty and knew he couldn't find Wormtail to have that vengence so he felt he deserved to be in Azkaban for everything that had happened.
After a while, I'm sure it's easy to lose track of time in a place like that lost in your own world and his despair probably turned to despondency and chronic depression leading to numbess and a kind of state where you're just cold and seemingly emotionless and you become kind of just an empty shell. Now in that state it would have been much harder for the dementors to sense him I think but still he didn't leave because when you're at rock bottom like that it takes a hell of a lot of motivation and real desire to pull yourself up and out and Sirius just didn't have that. Until..........
Crouch went on an inspection in Azkaban and he happened to be carrying a newspaper with a pciture of the Weasely's on it and Scabbers (Wormtail) with Ron which Sirius happened to see. Now that was the spark that did it! Sirius noticed that Scabbers had a toe missing just like Wormtail had a finger missing or something similar to that and that was all the motivation he needed and suddenly he was determined again and had reason to break out because now he had the vital info that he needed - the location of the betrayer.
So recap lol - basically Sirius could theoretically have broken out before but was so overcome in grief that he didn't plus if he did it was a really combustile state at that time so everyone would have thought he had done it, even his own friends solely because he couldn't prove that he didn't betray the Potters and didn't kill all those muggles. When I said he didn't know the location of Wormtail before it's probably better to say that he may not have even known if he was alive because everyone thought he had died in the explosion so without Wormtail, the truth basically died with his disappearance.
Therefore there was no point in him breaking out when he couldn't prove his innocence and when there'd be a massive manhunt out for him day and night - he'd probably have to remain as a dog for a long time and who knows how he would survive. Also, whilst in jail, under the influence of dementors it was probably likely that he sunk more and more into depression making it harder for him to even build up the want to escape. So basically 12 years elapsed in that state until that sudden opportunity came which in one foul swoop would clear his name, allow him to get his revenge and save Harry at the same time.
It's all speculation though and not necessarily true 🙂
It is true tho, RPhoe very long post however😛
But i agree with you, it all has to do with his state of mind, and also, when they were closing in on him at the end of POA, there were many more and they were actually focussed on him, and on actually sucking his soul this time, compared to when he escaped: it was just one dementor, and Sirius was just being fed, the Dementors would have had no idea he was planning a sudden escape, especially not as an animal. However, at the end of POA, they KNEW exactly what he was up to, and i'm sure they expected him to be an animal, am i right? 😮
but all in all, am i making any sense there lol?^^

No you're not. Here, let me summarise:
1) We don't really know how and why Sirius was caught in the first place other then that the dementors somehow found him in human form. But we think that it would have been very hard for him to stay a dog under the influenceeffect of so many dementors which is how they caught him.
2) He satyed in jail for 12 years because he felt guilty, depressed and couldn't prove his innocence because everyone thought Wormtail was dead.
3) One day, 12 years later, Crouch comes along with the Daily Prophet and Sirius happens to see Wormtail aka Scabbers with Ron in a picture and so knows that he is alive and where he is.
4) It's easier for him to break out now because like Tassie said, there was only one dementor giving him his food rather then loads like when he was caught and that one dementor hardly expected him to escape plus it couldn't really sense him as a dog which is why he managed to get out.
I hope that is slightly clearer 🙂
