Doom III

I beat it too, it's an easy game.

The Xbox version comes out tomorrow. And I think is worth buying it. I'm getting the CE with the extra features and the classic Doom game. It maynot be the same as the pc. But I think is still worth checking it out.

Game is a breeze.
The soulcube and the BFG make the last levels a breeze.

Just got the X-Box version, its damn awesome!! Not far off from the PC version from a graphical standpoint, no slowdown and the creepy atmosphere remains the same.

I'm happy! 😄

Yeah, but there's alot of places in the PC version that you probably dont see.
Doom 3 is creepy as shit but the gameplay is shit.

Got Doom 3 on friday and ive tried to play it as much as i can, i gotta say it is a great game, as everyone has said, the atmosphere is great and i actually think the gameplay is good, overall i would recommend it to anyone who likes a good FPS

btw its great to play it in the dark, really brings the game to life

For the xbox this game is horrible online lol.

Single player is pretty good though. Doom2 still owns it 🙂

It's awesome to play in the dark with a top surround sound system.
Its not like the gameplay overall sucks but it gets very old during the middle of the game.

lol I just dont like that theres no headshots.. but its bearable.. I keep getting jumpy too -_-..

Yeah, but its not scary later on aside from a few instances because its so bloody predictable. When you walk in a room, you know somethings going to teleport in and it doesnt matter what monsters are it.
How many times do you need to get surpraised when you open a door and an Imp jumps at you?

It's good in the beginning, but starting after you get out of hell it is very boring and repetitive. Overall it was an ok game, but online for xbox is a shame. They shouldn't have even bothered putting that piece of crap on the disc. 4 player games for maps that size?

Exactly my point. Even before hell, it gets boring and reptitive.
It gets boring and on the PC, the online is horrible.

I'm abit late, i haven't payed much attention to doom 3's realise. Worth getting?

It is, if its cheaper than what I bought it for ($60). The graphics, atmosphere, sound and the general presentation are amazing. The little PDA's I loved (some didnt) and the monster looks amazing.
Unfortunatly, I found the gameplay kinda of boring. Dont get me wrong, its an amazing game for the first 5-7 hours of the game, but after that it got too stale for me and less frightening because of the repetitive gameplay.
But I would still pick it up just for the other amazing stuff.

Thats fine for me 👆 Its cheap now too so i wont have to many regrets if it gets abit tedious like you said. Might get it this afternoon.

I'll stick to the Ultimate DOOM trilogy on PC, I think Doom 3 is to "pretty" to hold the true heart of the gameplay, but my PC is also average, and I don't own a Box, but I don't care.

Can't really complain...the game is fun and is working pretty okay for a console. I like it and enjoying it.

I'd have to say, as good as this game looks, and as good as it is (for the first few hours) to does get repetitive.

But then again, Doom was never one for tactics and thinking, id have done what they set out to do from the start, create a balls-to-the-wall shooter thats tense as hell. thumbsup
