Yea, ALWAYS take both routes if there are two, etc. My suggestion: Save, see what's down one, if it goes on and on, try the other way as well, maybe one of them is just a side step and back. Always check. Of course, at one point in Alpha, you have to make a BIG choice. So, I just saved there and I'm doing both ways. 🙂
Ive finished it. Good game. Not the best though. The atmosphere is fantastic, the presentation is fantastic, and story telling (note i said telling) is fantastic. But, the combat is very repetative. No replay value at all. (after taking down the thousandth imp, next time through will be a piece of cake). The gameplay is fun for awhile, but once you get used to the presentation, you get kinda of bored.
None less, it was a great game. But from what ive seen from Half Life 2, it might destroy Doom 3.
most definitly. Halo's graphics won't be on par with HL2. And the game play/dynamics will be meager in comparison to HL2.
I don't know why, but I've always hated Half-Life. I can play all the other mods like CS, DoD, TF...but I just can't stand trying to beat that damn game as Gordon.
Today I'm supposed to get to play Counter-Strike: Source's beta release. de_dust will have like dust clouds, model shading, you can see reflections in people's scopes...and I hear the deagle looks wicked.
I can't wait to get home to try it out...
I tried it out yesterday. Ok, what happened was, I logged onto steam as usual when I start up my comp.
And then on the 16th some prompt came up asking if I wanted to take part in a beta test. they said i'd need to pre-load the game for the release on Wednesday night. I guess it's because I dished out $20 to get Counter-Strike: Condition Zero when it came out. That's part of the deal, all owners of CS:CZ get the option to download.
I'll write up my review in the CS: Source thread (counter-strike2)
