i dont like to bash movies, i really like elektra in comic books, i saw the spiketv special and i have to say the scenes they showed were pretty bad....yet another movie with the famous "hiya!!" sounds during fight scenes...i thought those died with american ninja and power rangers

did anyone see the 10 second long clip of jennifer garner spinning her sais in a repeated form over and over again? frank miller must've been barfing in the toilet after he saw this special, they grabbed elektra and completely filtered her to make her something she isnt and never was

luckily she's still doing good in comics and i really like the role she plays in recent wolverine comics

this is all my opinion of course, to each his/her own

i agree, i got my hands on the original 80s elektra series, the contrast is amazing...

definitely, even recent elektra comics are pretty filtered from what she's originally supposed to be

i just thought that clip was pretty funny, i understand they wanted to make it flashy but it just doesnt work imo, and they've deviated elektra into a "girl power" icon which is no problem at all, but it definitely wasnt the meaning of the character when she was first made

exactly... i aint the biggest fan of garner taking the role of her either...

definitely not, its the exact opposite of gritty, and really reminds me of those american ninja movies

😆 i know, thats so true. garner would be a cool black widow, but i just cant see her as elektra...

on leno they showd part of the final fight it looked really good and joked about kissing a girl

I got offered a free ticket to go see it on release. I will because of that.

So if it's shit it'll not be a total loss. Eye candy factor is probably pretty high. She looks much better as Elektra in this movie than in "Daredevil".
