Keep'em coming Marvel, you losers. I'll be over there watching Batman Begins so if y'all manage to somehow make a movie THAT DOESN'T SUCK give me a shout.

lol, as opposed to the last two batman films......oh yeah and dont forget catwoman is dc owned heheh

dont get me wrong, i didnt like the movie, it didnt stay true to the character at all, but some people still liked it and movies are all about being good and bad, the big name directors arent bold enough and the crappy directors are always willing to take a shot

the next big comic movie for me is batman begins, it was good to finally see an ff preview but its not something im hell-bent on watching....batman begins will hopefully be up there with spiderman and xmen for me

she was definitely shown too overpowered.....she got hit three times in the movie by the main enemies and each time was near death, you cant show a struggle if your main character never gets hurt...might as well throw her in front of 60 people with ak-47's and watch as all of them miss......whatever happened to people being bold and actually letting their character get shot or stabbed, its not like he/she will have to die in the end

Elektra was all right. I watched the movie today. Jennifer Garner is a very good actress but she didn't really exude the presence of a cold-hearted assassin. The story was predictable and there were several plot holes. A lot of angst but there was a lot of action too. I loved the Elektra outfit. Very classy, very femme fatale, very true to the comic. The villains were a little ridiculous. The main villain was not very intimidating and he didn't really have any impact on the story other than too fight Elektra. The female villain (That's how forgetable the villains were, you can't even remember their names) was impressive with her death power. The fight scenes were kinda cool. Not as impressive as I would expect from such highly trained martial artists, but sufficent enough. There was a lot of unnecessary posing (i.e she would twirl her sais like pompoms for absolutely no reason. One major thing that irked me was how Elektra exactly returned from the dead. How she became an assassin. Why she didn't contact Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. How she ended up in Japan. And finally Why the Hand is involved with Elektra. Like I said, alot was left unexplained. But overall the movie was enjoyable.

Final Score: 7/10

PS. I saw the Fantastic Four preview! It was f****ing awesome. It looks better than I expected. The Thing still looks a little ridiculous though. It's 2005 and all they can think of is a rubber costume and makeup.

If they had made it a bit longer, added a bit more twist into the story line, and not done the...

Let me sum it up...
The entire film I was asking myself "And whats the point of this movie again?"
I found myself talking to my friend I went with more about Spiderman 3 and the main villain argueing about The Lizard, more than we watched the movie. That and besides the fact the couple next to us were making out the entire movie, rather loudly... So apparently we werent the only ones who werent really watching.

I cant wait for Ghostrider...
And what the hell happened to man-thing or whatever, it was said to be released in september and now no one has talked about it or nothing and it didnt come out.

have you all seen it? cry

I havent.

have i seen elektra? yeah, i saw it

highly trained martial artists, where in elektra?? those definitely werent highly trained martial artists, they were just good-looking dojo rejects who all died very easily, i agree with you on the posing, this was a poserific movie, as i've said everything was MTV'ed. As for the clothing, imo i dont think it stayed true to the original elektra character at all, maybe ultimate elektra but not the elektra i think of which would be.....everything but ultimate elektra heheh

did anyone see the skinny dude balancing the penny on his finger, oh man that made me laugh so hard, and the hand ninja who snapped his own neck....that was probably the best scene in the movie for me

Somebody forgot to tell her hairstylist that bangs went out of style in the mid 80's. Thats a faux pas for a comic book heroine trying to be percieved as a sex symbol.

ditto

That and the fact she was fighting an entire war with just her there... Stick and those other freaks only came when she was about to die.
The movie was too simple... not much of a point... and were the hell was Daredevil...

"and were the hell was Daredevil..."

Sitting in the back laughing out loud whilst saying:

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And to think you wanted your own movie."

-AC

Now theres something ill agree with you about.

stick and his white ninja's who propel from the sky with ropes...worst ninjas ive ever seen

i watched elektra 2day....it was on the same level as DD imo...watchable...but not heaps impressive...i think that typhoid should have had a much bigger role....and i think that all teh villains died WAY to easily.....the fight scene btw elektra and wats his name was kool...the whole bed sheets flying everywhere was kool......the skinny dude was astupid villain....didnt even do anything....AND..omg..that big black dude...the one that survived a shotgun to the chest? yeh him....he died when a TREE fell on him...a tree!!!...wtf....i enjoyed the character of elektra...and the outfit was pretty good in terms of converting comic costumes to the screen....all in all....6/10

OMG MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT TYPHOID MARY:

When Elektra stabs Typhoid the sai falls to the ground and glows red. I thought that at a later point in time (deleted scene) Typhoid may have come back out of the sai. It appeared as if maybe her essense was captured in the sai but she wasn't really dead. Anyways... I thought that maybe she would come back and that huge wave was her pissed off revival moment before her and Elektra had a really really huge fight that made her (mary) character somewhat worthwhile. And I remember reading an interview w/ The woman that plays TM, saying she might be Elektra 2

i would have really liked to have seen a crazy fight scene with typhoid and elektra....that would have been kool...but alas....hollywood had to be gay again...

The only good scene in this movie was the lesbian action.

What lesbian action? Typhoid Mary was killing her!

Acting my friend, acting. Jennifer garner was told she had to kiss another woman... and she agreed.

i loved this movie, it pisses on DD the sia in the face was great, imo it rocked

That it did. More and more reviews are going positive
