However, you have to keep in mind that the circumstances in which fights take place in comics will often have an effect on the outcome of the fight in question. Meaning that if Morrison wanted Wolverine to win a fight I'm sure he could think of a reasonable set of circumstances to get that result. But what many are missing is that in this fight, as it is set up by the rules of the forum, there is no reason that once Scott hits Wolverine (and even Morrison alludes to the fact the it is Wolverine's durability that would give him the victory not that he would avoid getting hit) then there is no reason that Scott would ever stop the initial attack. It isn't as if he is limited to the brief blasts that he uses most often in comics. All he'd have to do is keep looking at Wolverine until all the flesh has been ripped off his bones.
Exactly. ✅ And what I don't understand is how Wolverine fans think that Wolverine, a 300 pound man, can withstand a blast that can go through Magneto's shield, can topple a whole forest, and can blast a Sentinel back a quarter mile. There is ABSOLUTELY NO conceivable way for Wolverine to withstand that blast. Yes, I realize that Wolverine has got a f*ckin healing factor, hell half of the world knows that sh*t, but that doesn't mean he won't get knocked the hell back. When Cyclops tags Wolverine with an extremely destructive blast, he just keeps letting loose until all of Wolverine's muscles, tendants, and skin are off. Wolverine's healing factor CAN be overloaded. If there is less than 25% of his body remaining, then he dies. That's a plain and simple fact stated by Marvel. By the way riceroost, you shouldn't think of Grant Morrison's word as set in stone. The guy is OBVIOUSLY biased towards Wolverine. If he could understand like you that a blast that can do all of the above, would stop Wolverine dead in his tracks. 😉
