Yup, it was the X-Cutioner's Song saga, one of the UXM issues.....the cover of the issue is where Cyclops is visorless and holding Jean (who appears unconscious at the very least). Somewhere in the early 300s.
The situation is that Scott and Jean are escaping Stryfe's base (unbeknownst to them it's on the moon), and Jean was actually using her TK to hold back his blasts while he had his visor off. The writer at the time (Lobdell?) stated in the monologue that Cyke's blasts were powerful enough to pulverise adamantium.
Was that hyperbole? I certainly think so, but it HAS been said that the blasts are strong enough to do that. I personally don't think Scott could put a dent in adamantium, but that's my opinion....
Actually, you know what, the cover of the issue i mentioned above isn't correct. What i described was actually one of (if not THE) first pages of the issue. The cover, if memory serves me well, has Stryfe standing with his hands in a menacing position, minions in the background, with Scott and Jean looking on to the side of the cover page.

Cyclops also has extensive training in martial arts and unarmed combat, holding black belts in judo and aikido. His level of skill is sufficient to defeat six normal men with his eyes closed and he has in the past held his own against even Wolverine.

so scot can blast straight for over a month?
scot fought a messed up in the head logan who fought with anger not skill his head was all ****ed with and moments before he was shaking if scot tried that vs I perfectly fine logan he would die instantly.

I don't see how it is possible to dodge an optic blast. If Scott is looking at you, the beam hits you. You can't dodge it if you aren't faster than the speed of light - and clearly, Wolverine isn't faster than light.
For a beam to have missed Wolverine, it would mean that Scott wasn't even looking at Wolverine. Which we all know is nonsense... I don't buy it.
