Brevoort said something similar regarding Surfer when it was asked if he could destroy Earth although I don't think he said it would take a long time.

Why does that matter? Brevoort doesn't believe Norrin has legit super speed during combat in the Superman sense; or at the least doesn't use it.

I'm pretty sure he also said Thor would beat Norrin in a fight although I read that some time ago he said he thinks Norrin is slightly more powerful or something.

Anyways, why the hell does it matter what the shit head Brevoort says? People across different boards keep posting his formspring opinion. They don't count as evidence. At all.

He doesn't hold Thor -or at least Thor fans- in a particular good light. His still pissy about the noise he got over JLA/Avengers. Busiek took it in stride though. Props for that.

Although i still think surfer takes a majority, i agree that everything Bendis says is bullshit..

Being able to destroy a planet with his hammer in time makes sence, since a single hammer toss (or even some of them) is not enough to destroy a planet. does that make him weaker? could superman destroy a planet with one or two punches? could gladiator now? we are not in the 70s...
as for the bullet catching teeth thing I don't think it takes anything from the character's powerset

Honestly, I dont think any high herald besides Surfer can destroy a planet but thats just me and given time, I think they could but hell, Storm given time could destroy a planet.

I'm just saying, I take writers words over all and the statements that they have been saying about a lot of high heralds make me think that a lot of them should bow to someone like Surfer.

Numerous of writers has said things, writen things and made comment about Thor (along with numerous of other high heralds). Surfer is still shining as one of the most powerful being in his Universe. I'm not basing my judgment off of one writer. Look at my past comments on who would win out of Surfer and Thor, I always stated Thor but the writers have complete control of the character and what they say about the characters goes until someone else takes his place.

its a tough one, over all i give surfer durability, strength, and energy output advantage, but its very slight.

But thor gets a large skill advantage.

Pretty decent strength feat for Norrin to catch a strike from Thor but that was one hell of a head butt from the Odinson. Has anyone ever dented Surfer's skin from a physical blow?

I wonder how much Thor has been weakened by this point. Surfer is probably not that aggressive however based on the art.

From the preview it looks like Odin didn't trust that his own son could put down Thor. Sounds about right.

Hey Quan, isn't it your stance that current Surfer can beat even Odin? It'll be interesting to see whether or not that holds up.

Pretty cool Thor denting his head like granted it didn't seem to bother Surfer much.
