There's a huge difference between what Surfer did to Bill and what Thor did to Surfer.

Bill and Surfer were already engaged in battle, therefore it was a perfectly viable tactic for Surfer to use the board to attack Bill from behind.

But the fight in the preview between Thor and Surfer, Thor surprise attacks Surfer while he was still talking to Odin from behind.

Starting off a battle by attacking the person from behind his back while he's talking to someone else is way cheaper than using the board in mid battle.

In the end no one was really hurt..

Looks like Thor was crying a little bit after the headbutt.

Surfer's forehead was dented, Thor was bleeding a bit. All it shows is that Thor's skull > Surfer's. Neither were slowed down.

Surfer's skull is malleable for maneuverability.

I think both Thor and Odin should not be worthy anymore. It is cowardly and un warrior-like to cheapshot someone on your level or below. And for Odin to interfere with the battle his son and surfer were having was plain cowardly and unclassy. That's totally against the warrior code of honor.

The writer should be shot (I'm kidding).

Yea, Odin and Thor are bitches.

Fraction writes a horrible Odin. If there's no explanation, people will probably start separating Fraction's Odin from the rest of continuity. His characterization of Thor has also been shit.

If that's the case then that is some shitty artwork. I mean the hammer is seen going between Surfer's legs. Where could the hammer had possibly hit him at?

I would bet he hit the board from under him since Surfer was shown on the board prior to the scan.
