Mechanical, flavorless guitar-pop. The thing that gets me about them is that they clearly don't put any effort at all into writing their songs, every single one sounds essentially the same, apart from that instrumental one that was on one of The Matrix's soundtracks. That was a good song, but I'm guessing from the lack of vocals and live instruments that it was just the DJ. Figures.

Key point mentioning the DJ. He's easily the most talented member of the band.
Which is sad, considering it's classified as rock.
Linkin Park sucks because it's an extension of all this new generation rage that younger kids have and think they are the worst treated of the lot, blah blah. If you find someone who is an avid fan of the band, chances are they are under 16, wearing some kind of black clothing with bracelets, rubber bands, embossed belts, etc., and they sing along. I guess with monotone screaming like Chester anyone can mask their own voice in it. Must be quite the ego boost.
Oh, and their songs irk me. I don't like the rap-esque lyrics by that one guy... Perhaps it's because I'm a rock purist who listens to bands mostly overseas, but I can't stand hearing "I've come so faaaarrr blah blah"
"Comin' round, this outter town, mommy threw me out, so I'mma stand up an shout" crap.

I like some of their stuff.They are repetitive,but so are a lot of bands.

well i gotta admit that they did sound pretty repedative on meteora...but they sounded kinda original on hybrid theory. They prolly didnt have alot of new ideas for meteora it sounds like. Plus most artists that run out of idea's sound repetative sooner or later. i mean after System of a Down had toxicity they kinda sounded repetative on there albums. I think all the songs except for a few on there new album Mezmerize or whatever sound the same. So yea..the point is that they ran out of idea's too fast lol.

It could be because they're good. More often it's because they look nice in studded belts and spikey hair.
