while this topic is dead i will use the space to speak to myself.
even though i doubt venom will make an appearance in s3 (yea, i'm the pessimistic venom fan) they DID mention eddie brock in some scenes in spiderman 2
and i'm kinda blown away by the actors most of you picked to play his role. so far besides a wrestler whom may not act well enough to be on the silver screen, i read some names like vin diesel.
...vin diesel?? c'mon! so far in the spiderman movies you haven't seen any "flavor of the week" actors like.. oh, ashton kutcher. i'm guessing that if they decided to use venom in the next movie that they'd pick someone whom's personality is reminiscent of the character or who's had alot of experience (in movies). i.e., the incredible bruce campbell!!
p.s., i still can't figure out why sam raimi picked tobey as spidey... he always seems... drowsy. he kinda reminds me of that cartoon dog "droopy".
93 hours remaining as of 0300, Sunday, July 25, 2004, -07GMT. Note: 0000=Midnight, 0#00=Hour(1-9am), 1#00=Hour(12-7pm), 2#00=Hour(8-11pm), in other words 1300+ subtract 12. I will always use this amount of detail in my time and dates, minus the chart. Not just because I'm Military, but because it should be the only time table, not the primitive 12-hour bullsh*t. Also why have we (the U.S.) not converted to the Metric System?! Note, most of this is my haranguing, once again.
55 hours until release date as of 1700, Monday, July 26, 2004, -07GMT. I suppose that you're right badsymbiote, although had the government kept it's focus my generation would have grown up with it so, it would have made no difference. What happened to "only the strong survive?" Also I was lgoing through the "even more smilies" and wondered why this was there: tomcat? It just perplexes me.
i've got answer for that one, man.
So stoked for Venom #17, and the Venom and Carnage series, and the new Rogue series, and something else, too, but I've been waiting so long, that I can't remember what it was. It was probably one of the Marvel Age Spidey or FF for my kids. Who knows? I'll remember--and I won't leave the comic shop without it.
Carnage- Jim Carrey
I think Carnage is a much more interesting character then Venom. Even though both are mega cool, you gotta love the insanity. Carnage is like Joker... but completly ruthless. Hell, he even teamed up with Joker in a crossover (Which was total BULLSHIT that Batman beat Carnage) against spidey. Carrey showed he could play the Riddler, and he's an excellent actor, I think he'd make a great Kassidy.
Other choices for carnage- Johnny Noxville or even the dude who played tidus' brother in the show, Tidus.
As for Venom...
Not enough big halfway decent actors out there. If Arnold didn't have the accent and was 20 years younger... sigh.
