Venom vs Carnage(and other series)

im all years to spoiler, by the way, ipm going to scan some oldies i mean the first comics issues. only on weekend.

Ok, I will get them on here tomorrow or the next day. I didn't even get mine today--My favorite comic shop's order got sent to Kentucky instead of Washington state, and I didn't have time to go to another. So, now I have to wait til tomorrow, which really sucks.

i ordered the last copy of VvC #1 from Mile High. now i need #2.

i need a job,so i can buy the comics imported via fedex.

What's everyone think of Toxin?

Think he will surpass the abilities of both Venom and Carnage? What do you think of his color? will he be killed off or is he here to stay?

I dunno... I think he looks great thus far. It's exciting stuff, although both the art and the writing disagree with me. I think the humans in the comic all look disfigured (even the gorgeous Black Cat) and the writing is full of holes and illogicality.

hostile, i disagree with you 100% on that one. I think the art is FANTASTIC. The best art i've seen in a coimc in a LONG time. The story is completely believable (as believable as marvel gets anyway, aside from maybe punisher) and the characters' dialogue seems right on the money!

Kontraz: Each to their own, I guess. I dunno, I especially didn't like how Carnage was *hit by a train*, yet Venom didn't know the next day what had happened to him. Also, have you read the Venom series? I gotta say the art thrashes Venom VS Carnage silly 😛

I thought the art was better in the first book, and I think Black Cat looks way too skanky. I expected more from this series, honestly, but I'll reserve judgment 'til it's all finished.
As for Toxin, I think that Venom's committment and desire to mentor him will figure enormously into his future--and I know that Carnage's lack of attachment and fear of Toxin's potential will be just as important to the outcome of the story.
I was just glad to see that I was right about Venom emerging again as the "good guy". Toxin did not look as cool as I expected, and I was disaapointed in the colors--just like an unimaginative amalgam of the two. I do expect there to be some abilties that we;ve not seen in a symbiote before, but that may be me overthinking it, as I tend to do at times.

badsymbiote, I dont think you really know what "amalgam" means. I think you're just using that word to make yourself sound smarter. 😛

yeah, i have collected most of the series. The art was pretty cool, but I like this art MUCH better. The other seemed far too sketchy, like they didnt care if the girls jaw was twisted around behind her ear if she talked... "we cant use erasers!"

whereas in venom vs carnage, sure the symbiotes are all distorted and stuff, but that is to help give them the "goopy" appearance that has been absent for some time (except in the venom series, of course, but as mentioned, all the people in that had that look!). The normal people in venom vs carnage looked great, and the style of venom and carnage only added more exclaimation points to saying the art is terrific, in my opinion of course.

Notice the black claws, and the more Spiderman-esque lack of a mouth on Toxin. I kinda hope he doesn't make it out of the series, just because of who it is attached to.

I don't like how they neglect to go further into why that cop ends up with Carnage's spawn. Maybe I missed a comic series or something, but it just doesn't make much sense to me.

Toxin SOOOOO has to be a bad guy at first. One that is capable of thrashing carnage. I think that would be great.

i'm pretty sure he will be bad... read the previews for 3 and 4, says it is a THREE WAY fight....

I jsut got the newest issue of Venom Vs Carnage... Its great. I love it... you all should see it. The Childs name, well, i wont say unless you all wan me to say

the name is toxin, thats pretty much common knowledge now 😉
