Venom vs Carnage(and other series)

Anybody else hear of the fate of Venom # 18? The idea of not having this last book is incomprehensible. What the Hell?

"America eats it's young"? That's the most fascinating thing I've read so far this week. I never looked at it like that. Jesus, mental pathways are just flying open... this could get trippy...

On a slightly more sane note, I'll keep my eyes on IRC for Venom 18. Of-course it's not the same as reading it IRL, but if you guys seriously can't find #18 in the stores, i'll upload it here and you'll atleast know what happens in the story.

Badsymbiote, don't fret, Venom #18 was resecudualed for a September 8th release. Took some searching to figure out, but I finally found it a little bit ago.

As for whats going on with Venom VS Carnage, though the comic is amazing (both in art and story), something has got me. When on earth does this comic take place in the Marvel Continuty? I mean come on, Black Cat doesn't know anything about Venom or Carnage? What ever happened to the whole Maximum Carnage thing? Let alone the fact that Venom was pretty brutal on the Cat in his first few appearences.

i think they just want it to be part of a "new continuity", where the only thing that has happened thus far is.... Carnage exists and was spawned from venom... venom is using the suit (well, is actually THE suit, half anyway) that spidey once used and is an alien, spidey is a good guy, and black cat is hot. Thats about all the info that is needed. Other than that, black cat is clueless, having never fought the two sym's, and spidey and those two have always fought...

somebody asked the same question not but a few posts ago....

YOU HAVE IT?!?

That quote above my av is from Chuck-D of Public Enemy. It's been there since May.

KIEKAN--This makes you officially my hero--I was going to check the shipping lists again today, but now I don't have to--so thanks. Now I can read the comics I bought last week, and I'll sleep well tonight. 😄
I figured it was gonna be released late, but God! I think we've waited quite long enough.

Kontraz: Oh really? Sorry.... Looked for it and didn't see it..... Thanks anyways, though.

badsymbiote: Sure thing. -Bows- tis me pleasure.

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear Marvel was bent on achieving total failure with this book--what a disservice--it shouldn't take a team of people several days to find out why a book never appeared on the shelves--the ultimate "dropped ball" by the marketing team.
F*cking weak.

But, I digress... thanks again, kiekan!!

Lol, well there have been a few cases I can think of when comic issues were moved to a different date without any notice (How long did it take for marvel to finally give out the official date for the first issue of Venom VS Carnage? lol). Either someone's being lazy, or your correct.

Either way.
Even without being paid for it, we've both done more to benefit Marvel's net gain than the jackasses in charge of marketing this book.

Call it stupidity or laziness, I wouldn't pay someone for either.

hey hey! negativity never helped anyone. though you have been patient, it'll eventually come.

Kiekan, look up. You've got a PM. -Feverish Impatience

'OH, NOT TRUE, MANE--NEGATIVITY HELPS US TO ACCEPT THE WOEFULLY INEPT MASSES..."

and eventually is right. A mere six weeks later. But who's counting?

i know youve been patient, but it will eventually come...

Well, I finally got to sit and read Venom vs. Carnage's second installment today--and aside from the heavy Black Cat content and her total lack of familiarity with either of the pre-existing symbiotes, it was pretty good, though the plot does seem like it's languishing a bit, and like last month, I expect more from the next book.
Aside from that most of the artwork is great, except for many of the faces, whose expressions seem frightfully contorted at times--but the symbiotes, skylines, and building details are really beautiful. Overall, still really impressive, and I did get more out of it when I actually read it in it's entirety--there's alot of human sentiment in these books--and that does have some merit, so all-in-all it gets a thumbs up.

i agree , except the cop's wife looks kinda like a guy and spidey has the chin of bruce campbell under the mask.

😆

Totally...
