Raevynn was standing, holding onto a support beam. She could see out the window as a strange ring shaped planet grew steadily in front of them. There were lakes, oceans, forests, dunes and snow covered terrain. Whatever this place was she knew they were going to be calling it home for a while.
"ETA in 2 minutes." The pilot announced.
Suddenly the ground comes up to greet them. "Hold on!" the pilot screams.
"You really should sit." Gautama suggested.
Raevynn laughed quitely, and then the boat shook violently. She closed her eyes shut and held on. Then there was an ear peircing noise as the ship slammed into the ground. Everything went black after that.

Raevynn sat up and shook off her head. "Have a nice sleep?" Gautama chirped in her ears. Raevynn grunted. The AI was more annoying than he was usefull. She got to her feet and checked on the pilot. His vitals were bad, but he was still barely alive. She started to unstrap the belt around his chest. He grabbed her wrist, startling her at first. "Dont waist your time." he said weakly.
It was hard for her to leave another human, but she knew as well as he did that he would never make it. Raevynn put her hand on his shoulder, then pulled her side arm from its holster and placed it on the controls in front of the pilot. "Good luck marine." she said before turning and leaving the reck.
(sorry, didn't exactly know what we were doing, from the first threads till now lol.. I was just going with it)
The Wreck around Raevynn and Dennis plumed smoke high into the air, marines lay panting everywhere.. tired.. exausted.. scared and so fourth... The sound of Terror is heard not but ten seconds after planetfall on the strange ring.. The moan of a covenant dropship is heard coming your way.. it flies high above circling the area.. Its plasma turret swiveling around and around scanning for targets... A marine panics and runs out from the treeline to get blasted by waves of plasma fire... A friendly sight however is seen... multiple rockets hit the side of the Dropship.. The dropship turns only for a second before a critical hit is taken and it explodes.. the two major burning pieces come crashing to the ground erupting in a ball of fire....
The pelican Gunship flies through the smoke along with two regular dropships... The gunship hovers around as the two dropships touchdown... A marine comes up to you.. "Guys we've been picking up survivors for a few hours now, I'm not sure but I think we better hurry, Spiers said he saw a few covenant patrols heading this way as well as some armor.." He turns and runs back up the ramp.. "Hurry aboard.. we gotta get to the peninsula.. that is where we've setup a CP... keyes is there waiting for us.. "
Gautama biped up in her ears for the second time. "He's right, Im picking up multiple covenant dropships heading our way."
Raevynn sighed. "You heard the man. " Raevynn said to the marines.
Before getting in she went back to the life boat and unstraped the wounded marine. Now that they had a pelican to transport them, maybe he would have a better chance. She flung him over her shoulder, although he was nearly bigger than her, and carried him over towards another marine. "Get him some medical attention." she ordered. Raevynn climbed into the life boat and found the wounded marine from earlier. She walked over to him and looked at his arm and leg. "Let me have a look at that."
*The Pelican Gunship Hovers overhead.. a Clear insignia is seen... Delta 666...* A marine walks up to you.. a red cross is seen on his armor plating.. "That gunship has saved me four times now.. wheres this pilot at?" He follows you to the Lifeboat and tends to the man. The wounded marine is lifted out of the chair and carried to the pelican.. *The first pelican dropship lifts off, the pilots voice is heard over the marine comms, "I'm getting a reading on another lifeboat."
the thrusters push downward as the pelican lifts off.. A marine next to you looks at you confused.. "You ever wonder if those flames are as hot as they say?" The sgt nearby replies. "shut it... get those weapons and armor loaded..." The marine looks at the sgt.. "So much for a home away from home.."
Pierce looks at his instrumentation panel.. "If they dont get off the ground in a few minutes they will notice us.. and we will never make it outta here alive.." His finger clinches the trigger and his eyes widen.. "Let them... come."
Raevynn was about to start cleaning the marines wounds, when she noticed that things were about to start getting rough. And she HATED being in pelicans or any other kind of ship during a fight. The lack of control made her uneasy. But on the other hand it was nice not being overrun on the ground. She just hoped that this pilot knew what he was doing
*After loading the marines and the spartan the Pelican duo took off.... Behind them through the thick cloud cover you could see around 6-8 covenant dropships swarm the area... A few minutes later the Third pelican links up with them.* "Good thing we got spiers.. he's been in too many fights.. they say he was one of the only survivors from the first contact with the covenant.. he had to watch as ten or more UNSC vessels were torn apart by one cov cruiser... we trust him.."
*Day turns to night and night back to day.. a light comes on* "Ok guys, rise and shine.. we are at the penninsula... " *The two dropships land.. You can see the Pelican gunship Hovering overhead.. its two 50cal AP chainguns slowly move side to side... After a few seconds it moves forwards and over the building you are at... A marine walks up to you. "Ma'am.. Keyes is this way.." *He turns and enters the forerunner building.*
*Dennis picks up his radio* Keyes..do you read me..this is Dennis..Come in Captain Keyes..This is Dropship #35, Dennis speaking..Answer me..*Dennis waits, and then theirs a reply in his radio* Keyes: Dennis? Thank god you made it! Any other marines with you? Dennis: All alive..but badly injured..including me..We'l meet you inside the forerunner building..Keyes: Roger that Dennis, im there already. Meet you Inside!
Raevynn follows the marine into the building where Keyes waits for her. She stands at attention and salutes the captain. He returns the salute "At ease. Im glad to see you made it off that ship in one piece. We're really going to need your help here Senior Cheif. But for now get rested and see what you can do to help with the wounded. "
"Yes sir." Raevynn turns and leaves the room and walks back towards the marine with the burns on his leg and arm. "Now that were on land I'll clean that burn of yours." She takes his arm and removes the armor off of it. Then she cleans it with some disinfectant and wraps some medical cloth tightly around the wound. "That should do it for now. I'll take a look at that leg of yours once we find somewhere to sit."
