well i suppose i can change mine to eagles 😕

Hahahaahaha! I just want it to be all real, its just amazing, i want to be an elf and live in Lothorian or maybe Rivendell, i want to visit the shire and hang with the hobbits, see gandalfs amazing fireworks, hear bilbos tales, get into firework mischief with merry and pippin...ride horses with legolas...ect

ahhh

Of course you want it to be real. But think if Hogwarts was real too. Sh!t that would be awesome.

I would of liked to be Aragorn with the swordsman skills, but most definetly either gandalf or gwaihir

awesome, i think that...middle earth is out there somewhere...for real, that its real...that it will come about sometime in the future, i wish!!! I want soo bad to be apart of it!

lol make a new thread about that then
since we're dying for new topics..

its not a wind up, i am unhappy with the portrayals of characters, boromir was played as a nasty person to soften the blow of his death, WTF?!?

treebeard said in the books he knew M+P werent orcs when he heard their voices....in the films he takes them to the white wizard, aka gabdalf

would you like to explain to me why you change the second half of TT please petey

I love the books. I love the films. But, for me, they do not inter-relate. I have movie Frodo and book Frodo (etc). The books would not work cinematically. The films would not work as literature.

They are seperate things, and I love them both!

I think they made Borimir so unpleasant in the movie to serve as a foil to Aragorn...yes he did seem noble and human in the books...but his portrayal in the films served to highlight Aragorn even further...

Yea, most of the characters were quite different in the movie... most of all of course Faramir 🙁 and by missing out the Anorstone also Denethor.
In the beginning I was really angry about Faramir, he was such a nice person in the books and then in the films... 😠 - however, there are these scenes on the TT EE that relativate everything (for Boromir as well as for Faramir) - the part where the victory in Osgiliath is celebrated (btw, this victory doesn't really exist in the books - the only steward who did something remarkable positive in the fight about Osgiliath was a certain Boromir I who lived 500 years before this Boromir (II) 😛 ) and also the scene where Faramir kills this Southron and uses the exact lines Sam says in the books - really sad that this was cut in the theatrical version, it's short but tells a lot about Faramir's character.

I think Boromir wasn't so bad in the films - maybe his character wasn't as "good" and boromirish as in the books, but Sean Bean was imo doubtlessly the perfect actor for Boromir and did a great job with his portrayal.

And Sauron's eye... Yeeea absolutely true
but nobody ever wanted to listen to me when I said so in other threads 😛

thats because its MY eye only i can make fun of myself 🙂

and also discos.....

cheeky sauron 😗

you are right, i didnt like the fact that treebeard needed proof to know they wern't orcs...orcs stink and are ugly as hell

Discos - how can mistake someone Scottish for a bleeding Orc

chooses not to answer

Discos - rolls up sleeves and awaits.....

😆

... well in the book, orcs aren't as different from humans as in the film; for example there were these halforcs or whatever in the Prancing Pony and they weren't even really recognized as orcs.

i chose not to answer, was too easy 😛

oh right,

well at least Orcs were portrayed fairly good....still i dont see why sauron suddenly chose now to post this, its been like 2 years since we seen Boromir

Yeah i wondered that too about treebeard, he can see...he can see that they arent orcs, that their hobbits, hobbits and orcs dont look alike so i dont get where he kept saying they were little orcs, and then saying "hobbit, never heard of a hobbit before, sounds like orc mischief to me" is it me, or is he a little deaf? lol

the worst part is the cut out alot of ringwraith scenes from the book

the more i think about it, i did and still do have some complaints about character portrayal, but then i think about it like this... if he had kept it straight to the book, do you guys imagine how confused not bookies would have been, as it is, alot of my friends had to ask me alot... Faramir's character had to be like that for film purposes, as did alot of other ones... i'm extremely happy most of the other ones

one movie trilogy to rule them all
