Well there are alot of different things that was filmed w/ helms deep, the ents didnt save the day, eomer did it in their stead even though he was w/ theodean, the #'s of Rohan at Helms Deep cut about 1000 men, and most of all the elves, well it somewhat bothered me, but not to an extreme measure what did u think of it?

originally she showed up and fought
if you go to the tt ee
and put the filming documentaries on-you will see
tyler says 'originally thay had me fight at helms deep-but the public didnt really like me fighint all that much, so we took it out'

then we are shown a clip or arwen and aragorn side by side fighting on the walls of helms deep

yes they did have arwen in helms deep they even shot scenes w/ her, then later wrote her out, and even painted her out of some shots, such as one shot when legolas is pullin the rope w/ aragorn and gimli, arwen was pulling too but was painted out.
