Agnostics or Atheists

Ok, but what do you mean by "a person who has a disbelief in the existence of God"? Do you mean that such a person believes in the existence of a God, but do not believe IN that God?

No, by definition it is not a religion. If however we are talking about a person who has a disbelief in the existence of God, then yes it is a faith.
It would be a belief that is lacking in logical proof or materal evidence.

No it is NOT. A lack of belief is NOT equal to a belief of non-existence.

Have you ever heard an atheist say "I believe there's no god"? I haven't. Usually we'd say "I don't believe there is such a thing as god." showing a lack of belief.

I did not say a lack of belief. I said disbelief. Yeah actually I have heard atheist say that God doesnt exist.

yes

Really? I've never heard anyone say that before...

My apologies for making an assumption.

I am jumping in to answer the original question. I am agnostic, because I feel it is absolutely ridiculous not to be. We can't prove there is a God, we can't prove there isn't one. Why place faith in some silly book (any religious text) that some guy wrote and claims is the word of his god?

And to answer the person above about atheists, All the atheists I know strongly feel THERE IS NO GOD.

All the atheists I know strongly feel THERE IS NO GOD.
still they use the word believe when talking about it, they uses phrases like i dont believe in a god, i dont believe in any supernatural being, I dont believe anything.

Simply what an atheist says is not that he believes there is no god(ateists don't believe), BUT that he does not accept the possibility of the existence of a god, or that he do NOT BELIEVE in a god.

to me believe there is no god and not believe in a god sums up to be the same

No finti, 'believe' and 'Not believe' is totally different - epistemologically the latter one is a negation - belief is not negation. Think logically, my friend.

again, to me it is the same. I know the difference between believe and not believe, that aint the point here though. It is about using the word believe as a denial in two ways

It doesn't matter if to you it's the same, ontologically it is definately not the same.

I believe there is no god which makes me to not believe in a god

finti, logically one cannot believe that something isn't there, one can only believe that something is indeed there. If one negates the existence of something, then one says: I do NOT believe....

It is about using the word believe as a denial in two ways

Believe and denial are opposites. One cannot use believe 'as' a denial, because denial means the opposite of believe.

I believe there is no god, here believe is used as a base for a denial

I'll say again: One cannot use believe 'as' a denial, because denial means the opposite of believe. It doesn't get more logical and clear as this.

If I say I believe there is no god it means I dont believe in a god, it is a simple as that regardles of how pseudo intellectual one tries to twist it
