I don't hate Odom. But there is speculation that the reason his act got cleaned up is because he is no longer with his Hollywood drug buddies. Going back to LA may make him resort to the Odom of old.

link-your judging odom off his clipper days..how many games have u seen him play in miami...probly none if u seen him in the playoffs you would have seen his is very capable of playin all 5 positions...he had to play the 5 of alot against indy and did very well against o'neal but in the west i doubt he'll play the 5 or do well playin the 5 but thats besides the point....plus i didnt hear one bad thing about him this year so how can he be a cancer?...he cleaned up his act in miami so at least give him some credit
his outside game is mediocre, his inside game is mediocre, he's just a 6'9 player that likes to dribble the ball a lot. He's not known for his defense, he's not known for his ability to share the ball, he's not known for his shot, or his ability to finish. He's only known as a a druggie. Screw Miami, they played in the East. I don't care what you say about the East winning the championship this year, every team they put in the playoffs was crap up until Teshaun's block against Miller when Detroit gelled and started playing like they were the only real professional team out there. Detriot played terribly in that series compared to how they played against LA.
thats bull shit...what are you talkin about detriot gelled after the prince/miller block they've always had team chemistry.....indiana had the second best defense next to detriot yea even better than the spurs defense...they would have gave LA a hard time...i'm sure you find that hard to beleive but its true..how can you say every team in the east is crap...you watched what....a couple games between detrioit and indiana and already assumed the championship was in the bag for the lakers...Odom averaged 4 assists during the regualr season thats sharing the ball...just look at the numbers Myth posted and that alone shows his game is above mediocre....you may see a druggie i see a good player whos cleaned up his act

I just hope the trade doesn't go through now that talk about Odem's extra 15% option is out in the open. And the Clippers can't offer anywhere near what the Lakers can for Bryant, so they're desperately ditching some of their better established players...it'd be funny to have them both stay as Lakers. Only because it's be like this year all over again....but they'd still probably lose.

that's what it was....i thought i could remember McDysse, but that guy has injury problem to rival Grant Hill.
He was one of my favorite players back on the Nuggets while he had hops and was healthy.
And actually, upon further review of Odem, i guess he isn't THAT bad. He'll probably be a pretty good help for the Lakers, but I personally think that 15% bonus makes him not worth the money. We're talking like 8-9 million extra a year....

McDyess isn't getting way overpaid. He is being overpaid according to last years stats but he is getting a little extra because of what he'll be able to do if he starts playing a little more like the McDyess of old. But the Pistons already said they only expect to play him about 17-20 mins per game off the bench which could keep him healthy.
