In the Star Wars U. the Force is the almighty power. It's everywhere. When Vader destroyed that room at the end of Ep. III that was some pretty powerful stuff going on there. He was crushing steel If I remember right. Vader could force choke Doom or crush his suit behind his Force Fields.

Just so everyone knows, threads like these aren't allowed because they involve SW characters.

But.

I have a personal "grandfather rule" that I don't close down threads that were made before I became a Mod. Beyonder is fairly old school, so this gets a pass.

Magic is meant to break the rules of the universe. Why couldn't magic negate the effects of the force when it can defy the laws of the universe?

What about the Ovoid mind trick? Would that work Vader?

I don't think the mind trick would work on Vader. Doom's only chance in this is his magic.

The only defense that Vader would have is his lightsaber,which might help,his force powers,which won't be strong enough to block Doom's attack,his armor,which isn't indestructible,and his hand,his hands are the only part of his suit that are indestructible.Vader isn't able to use lighting bolt,he isn't that strong in the force,and he prefers using brute force over the force,thus ruling out mind control.

That said, Doom FTW!!!

I honestly think that Darth Vader would take Doom out. Vader is so fast, not to mention with his force powers he could avoid anything Doom launches his way.... I remember how fast his reflexes were in the movies when he avoided crashing his space cruiser, and that was when he was less adept. An older Vader should have no problem taking care of an unprepared Doom. Force choke, mind control, force lighting, force jump, that's just a few of the abilities that he possesses. Doom knows mysticism, and he is brilliant, but his fighting ability is below that of a Sith Lord, and Vader was one of the most powerful Sith Lords ever.
Unprepped Vader wins... Prepped Doom wins.

doom comes out the victor. vader needed to be saved from count dooku and revived against obi wan. vader was just fortuante to live as long as he did. with no one watching his back he would die here most certainly.

Have you watched Ep. 3? Anakin took Dooku (one of the best duelists) out 1v1 in under a minute.

Wait... is this Vader from the comics, or from the movie? It makes a huge difference.
