I'm not sure if this belongs in the Official POA Discussion thread but either way, yep, we can see they used that method for Hagrid because he's half giant and supposed to be approx 18ft I think. At times it looked as if the graphics people didn't keep tabs on teh scale they were using because when you compare shots Hagrid looks totally out of proprtion to the way he looks in other scenes and from movie to movie. As for the rest of the characters, I didn't notice it but I certainly didn't think they were as tall as you've just said e.g. Tom Felton at 6ft1!
well thats their height now. What made me nearly convinced of the scaling was when Harry was lying next to Sirius black, i noticed that they were nearly the same length.
And Oldman( Sirius) is about 3 inches taller than Radcliffe.

and i understand why they took out the quidditch scenes...i just wish there would have been more backround about the one they put in...like the fact that the ravenclaw seeker was cedric...but oh well, it worked...

Ok Iam A HUGE HP fan, yeah, i LOVE the books.
They were all really good, but if i had to chose one, it would be POA.
I was soooooooooooo xited bout the movie. I planned weeks before to watch it and everything..........and so i went.
......ok many people say the 1st and 2nd movies sucked because they missed out sooo much.I thought they werent thaaaat bad...but they could have been better...... SHOCK.....compare them to the POA movie.......and they are WOW!
I am very disgusted and disappointed. The movie missed out more than half the book, they mixed up the order, hogwarts has changed, the new dumbledore SUCKS beyond words, there is just toooooooooooo much to
much to critise. I mean if you havent read the book, you would be LOST during movie.

Do you know why Remus gave Harry chocolate after his encounters with Dementors? Well, according to David Colbert's "The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter", Dementors suck the hope, will, and happiness out of people like a form of depression. He said that J.K. Rowling mentioned that their powers are alot like when people get depressed and an illness she once had. When someone is diagnosed with depression, some doctors believe it helps them to eat chocolate for it makes them feel better for a time. There's medicine that is like and works sort of like chocolate does for patients. So, supposedly from that, the chocolate would help Harry feel better after he has awoken from fainting out cold.

Hmm, it's interesting about the Harry and Sirius thing, I noticed that Harry looked almost as tall as Sirius too but 3inches isn't that much difference so they would look very similar in height anyway. It's also odd, because if they did use scaling, why would it be in reverse? That is, to make Harry taller or Sirius shorter looking because Sirius is supposed to be tall so if anything they would make him look noticeably taller then Harry which they didn't really bother to do in the rest of the film... 😕

Yes, they were borring, especially the driver. But the background music was cool 😆 aaaand the comptroller's accent (it was a way more british then Potter's or anyone else's, don't you agree? 😆 ). Speaking of accents 😕 , Hagrid's accent sounds american, and even more does Oliver Wood's accent, IMHO! They wanted all british cast, but.... i dunno 😮 .
