USH'S GAME EPISODE II- 'REVENGE'. Light Side Area

Started by Gundark76 pages

Kuylen's presence hit Gundark like a ton of permacrete the second she stepped off of the lift. Argentis was somewhere near, also. She was not relishing the thought of meeting Kuylen again nor having his former Padawan force him into a confrontation. She seemed to have stepped off one level under the landing platform; it appeared to be a storage area of some kind. Argentis....where are you ?

It's eerily quiet inside here, Gundy. But you can sense nothing. Just towers of crates with large crane handles above. The crates for very confined corridors which are almost entirely empty.

You could search, but it would take a long time, and your senses tell you there is nothing here.

Lance sees Faylar.

"Faylar, you wanted to see me?"

After a hasty reaching out with the Force, Gundark found nothing to be amiss around her. She stepped back onto the lift and touched the control for the top level.

Faylar seems a tad busy on the floor abovre you right now, Lance. He is half gloating over the activation of his droid army, and hafl concerned about the stand-off down below. He seems to be considering sending some of his men down there to back up Krisha and co.

When he sees you, he motions your aide to take you to the private quarters where the others, apparently, are, though having seen Gundark you know that is not true.

Gundy, the upper area is a landing terminal.

There are several balcony levels- far more narrow but with just as much circumference (though all unguarded this time). The ships seem to have top land on the rim of the very top of the Palace and make their way down through 'customs' and so forth beforew proceeding into the main body of the Palace below that you just left.

A ship is landing now. The medical team is on the roof waitinf for it.

Gundark hurried out of the lift and into a nearby alcove. Now lets just see who's decided to join us she thought, watching the ship land.

The ramp on the ship slowly lowers, and the medical team approaches.

A person in Jedi robes descends out of it. The medical team approach him, talk with him briefly, and then turn away. You can just about see the person's hand wave slightly as he talked to them. He then proceeds, out of your sight, towrads the stairs down.

Gundark slipped along the wall toward the stairway. She reached out with the Force once again to see if the figure was Kuylen in disguise....

Tricky to tell, Gundy. You are finding it hard to sense much, as the figure was wearing Jedi robes that is not necessarily a big surprise, depending on the powers of said person.

Meanwhile, around you walk battle droids and technical personnel. Very few of Faylar's soldiers up here.

Gundark's muddled senses told her nothing. The Force could be vague sometimes, when it wanted to be. She waited a few seconds and then headed down the stairway.

(Down the stairway??? Surely not!)

The three levels have the stairs between them at opposite ends to each other. About half of each level is covered over and cannot be seen unless you are acutally on that level. Mr Stranger has just climbed down to the top level and you are on the bottom one.

Okay - gotcha !

Disregard previous post.

Gundark found a good vantage point from where she would be able to see the stranger when he emerged on her level.

Is this workable ?

It is, but you don't like it. From this vantage point you can't see him on any of the OTHER levels at all and if he tries anything more than simply walking downstairs you will miss him and be waiting her for a long time.

Kiel can help you, of course.

She turned to Kiel. "He may not come down this far. Any ideas ?"

"Hmm," says Kiel. "There are three lifts on this level he can use to get below. We might never corner him here. The best place to get him is on the stairs as he heads down here- only one connects each level."

"Then lets head up. The battle droids are massing below us. We don't have much other choice at this point."

Ok...

Up at the second level, you spend some time trying to track the person down. His robes give him away; you spot him halfway around level two, just going out of your sight... now...

"We can try and get either side of him and trap him up there," says Kiel. "Problem is, does he know we are looking for him?"

Meanwhile, for Lance, Xeth, and anyone else in the main area...

Shots ring out. The person who appeared to be one of Shareth's men turns out to be Galder (Captain Rex). From the fourth balcony, he has opened fire on Arashan and Krisha below. Krisha springs forward to aim a blow at queeq while Rex steps back to avoid the answering volley of shots.

On seeing the fighting break out below, Faylar starts to panic and his bodyguard start to discuss an escape plan.

Xeth reacts quickly and reaches for his blaster.

(Do I still have a blaster on me? Lance said my 'weapon', not 'weapons'. Could I have concealed my DL-44 in my robes?)

You certainly may, though your escort is none too impressed when you draw a weapon.

"Hey!" he says, turning towards you. "Put that away!" Battle droids are also saying

"Drop your weapon" in monotones from all around.

Galder, under heavy fire, jumps up to the fourth balcony, one level below you guys. SHots ping around him all the way.
