USH'S GAME EPISODE II- 'REVENGE'. Light Side Area

Started by Ushgarak76 pages

From what you can see from here, Gundy, Argentis is dodging the attentions of about a dozen droids.

Gundark used the Force to pull a half dozen battle droids from their feet into a wall of crates.

Gundy, you pull them back in one huge pull, and are then immediately overwhelmed with danger. Because with the battle droids you have also pulled back an active thermal detonator that will go off in seconds. taking out a good part of this general area. As it is lighter it comes back towards you pretty damn fast...

Gundark eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when she spied a blinking thermal detonator coming her way. She used every ounce of the Force she possessed to push the detonator away from herself and the combatants and up towards the ceiling.

Gundy, the detonator starts to fly away, and then stops in mid-air as something else pushes back.

In the distance, waiting for Argentis to deal with the droids and take up the duel again, stands Kuylen, his hand outstretched towards you.

You watch as the lights on the detonator start to blink away to nothing...

Yerssot reaches the others?

For a start, yerss, I need you to directly confirm that you are abandoning your rearguard action before I return you to the others.

Secondly, not very clever to run TOWARDS the detonator, huh?

I was more thinking in the lines of still blocking and stepping backwards, with phinney next to me...

The logic of the situation., yerss, is that you cannot maintain your rearguard AND be with the others- otherwise it is not a rear guard at all! It is just you being with them! And Phinney is not with you.

And you are about to be blown up.

so I have to stay there and deflect? and thanks

Well, if ypu want to maintain the rearguard then yes, unless you can think of something clever!

And, assuming Gundy will yell a warning, you might want to think about doing something about that.

well, you already said that I couldn't push the crates to stop them from coming...
and since I'm not allowed to go to them...there is only one way to go, and if you can explain how you can make all those battledroids retreat, shoot

Not my job to think of answers for you, yerss!

And what I thought you might want to do something about is the being blown up part.

have to think about that

Gundark yelled as loud as she could over the sounds of battle echoing throughout the cargo level. "Xeth ! yerssot ! Thermal Detonator ! Take cover !" Damn you, Kuylen... She used the Force to simultaneously jump back through the opening in the crates she had just come through and tried to deflect the returning detonator, rather than attempt to directly counter Kuylen's push.

I'm waiting for a couple of reactions from others...

hearing the yell of gundark, Yerssot forcejumped away as far as possible, when he landed, he rolled forward and was ready to defend again

Hmm, this makes for an uncomfortable position for you guys...

The detonator goes off, and in an area full of ammo crates that is particularly uncomfortable. The intital explosion sends Gundy flying through the air as she tries to make her escape, lannding heavily against a stack of crates that are already starting to detonate.

Xeth is quite close to Gundy, but forwarned; all he can do is leap for cover and keep his head down.

Phinney is similarly forwarned but less distant; He gets off the best of all of you. and is even still on his feet as a cascade of explosions follow him as he dashes away.

Yerssot is caught out in trying to return to a ready position when the second chain of explosions goes off; evem though he was the furthest awaty. He escapes the initial shockwave but not the effects of the blast and when a crate goes off right next to him he is knocked- stunned, wounded, and bleeding, to the ground.

Xeth, you see the whole area around the half-stunned Gundark go up in flames before you are forced to shield yourself from the blast effects as well.

Which leaves:

Phinney- standing, a little stunned but fully functional, now standing near an area that has been blown to pieces (droids and all), and unable to see the others.

Xeth- a tad winded amidst the rubble of some crates not too far from where you started

Gundark- in blackness. You are buried.

Yerssot- conscious but bleeding heavily on the floor.

Gundark and yerssot are wounded.

was it something I said 😉

Yerssot grabs his comm unit and concentrates on talking...
"Anyone ... got the name of that ...freighter? Sent ...a pick-up fighter ...if you want... not sure if my... bodyparts are still... where I left them"
He blinked with his eyes...tried to focus on the Force with the Heal

(just to get a better idea of what's wrong Ush, not to suddenly do a "flair" and stand back on my feet)

Well... you're hurt... pretty much the scale of it. You can move but it will do you no favours.

(In this game, characters are either fine, injured, badly injured or dead. Masters have no 'injured' stage so Gundark is worse for wear)
