😂 ALL our plays are musicals.like,we did midsummer's last year as well and had 5 dances.doing tempest next year,with bellydancing 😱 and merchant of venice in a grunge rock/goth theme with a live band onstage 😊 snow queen last year was full of um...exciting dances 😖hifty: and xmas carol so far...damn tiring dances 😊

and that's not taking into consideration the actual PLAYS themself!😱

personally, i was a bit disappointed about katie being picked to play cho cuz i expected sumbody dat's really pretty. but the way sum people just make fun of her n make racist comments is just DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean, GET A LIFE! it's so sad dat u don't hab anything better to do than to make petty comments about katie. so wat if she gets to kiss daniel radcliffe??!! her "ugly hair n flat nose" seriously. most asians hab flat noses unless they get plastic surgery. n people r so stuck-up, thinking dat they deserve to b w/t daniel radcliffe. U DON'T OWN HIM, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!! wat makes u think he'll like u anyway, when u attack katie like dat just bcuz she gets to play cho? sum people r just being downright racist, n i'm assuming dat they're white cuz if they're asians, i expect them to b a bit supportive of katie.

Hey Guys! Long time, I know! All I have to say with pure kindness is that the latest picture of Katie at the premier in her green dress is none other than BEAUTIFUL,....and Just GORGEOUS!! I will say that it is her best shot yet! It really and truly is, I almost didn't recognize her! I have nothing to say about her face or hair or anything else because this photo of her is truly her most flawless one to date!! Keep up the good work sweetie!!! I can't wait to see GOF!! I'm too excitedIt's finally here!!!

... I'm a bit dissapointed cause I know there WERE other people who tried out for Cho's part who were much prettier than her... and had excellent acting skills too!

But then again... if Leung's acting is extraordinary... then I don't think it should bother me anymore... psyched to see the show!

I'm going to see GoF today, and I'll make my final decision then. But I know people who went to see it yesterday, and they thought that she wasn't anything special. They didn't think she meshed well with the cast and overall, she just wasn't as good as it could've been. But, who knows, everyone has a different opinion right?

Argh, I'm really anticipating GOF. Not sure if it's out here in China yet and in any case, if it were, I'm terrified of angry throngs of local Shanghainese couples snogging in the theatre to subtitled or (God forbid) dubbed movies.

From the pics I've seen, I'll be honest and say that I don't think that Katie Leung is fitting for the part. She's isn't ugly - she's just not gorgeous or beautiful or what I expected Cho Chang to be. She just seems like an average-looking Cantonese girl (I have no hate for Cantonese people, btw) However, this means that I'm expecting a lot out of her actings skills =P Her face is just a tad too wide - I just imagined Cho Chang as more slender overall

Anyways, I <3 her accent and hope she does do well in the movie (though judging from the last post, there wasn't much chemistry =/)

I saw GoF yesterday.
It was great.
Alot of stuff was left out, and I mean ALOT, but it was still good.
Katie didn't have much speaking parts. I'm guessing if you put together the total time she was seen in the movie it would have added up to about 5-7 minutes.
I thought she was ok. I know the people behind me didn't like her though, I heard some guy rudely say "she's ugly!" and stuff when she first appeared. I wanted to smack him.

Ack, she's not ugly! Upon further reflection, I guess she does have this really Asian-Asian cuteness. Like stereotypical Asian-cuteness. It seems like many Asians don't think she's all that great to look at, but more foreigners do. And it's usually the case that foreigners prefer the Asian girls that look more...well, Asian.

Perhaps that's why I've never been wildly popular among non-Asians. People have always told me I don't look Asian enough 😆

Well, people are entitled to their opinion. Although shouting it wasn't the best thing to do...

Anyway, I saw it and thought that she was okay for the small part that she had. If she had a bigger part, I think it would've gotten really annoying.

But I really enjoyed the film, it was pretty amazing. I feel that Emma Watson's acting has improved, as well as Dan's.

Because they're so huge, of course some people are going to hate her, but then a lot of people like her. It's just someone's opinion, and no one can do anything about it.
