I see absolutely nothing sick at all about standing up for Katie. There is no reason for anyone to hate her, and saying so is certainly not sick. And there's a difference between jealousy and hate. All the opinions that I put down in my previous post were those geared towards hatred. As long as you're just jealous, that's fine. I wasn't talking to you. If you hate her because you're jealous, then perhaps I was. If you hate her soley for the fact that she's Cho Chang, you should, by your reasoning, hate every actor/actress who ever became famous, and there are a lot of them.

So if you don't hate her, then don't rag on me. I was only talking to those who expressed their hate for her. If you do hate her, then you need to seriously sort out your priorities.

And another thing, you ppl keep saying "you can't judge her by her looks." and "you don't even know her" or "she's going to be in the movie, deal with it" you can stop that now, we get what you're saying, that's no point of repeating them, you know?!!

Hypocrite. This is an eight page thread. I have seen a grand total of about five seperate reasons to hate Katie on this thread. Do the math. And you think that we, who have made about the equivalent of half a page of posting, are repeating ourselves? *scoffs* Please.

OK i dont hate the girl and i've never seen her acting but i am envious of her! Shes got the part, she gets to appear in a blockbuster!!!!

And she might not be totally gorgeous because not everyone is (lets admit) but maybe she'll look really cool as Cho. She does have a young look but who knows....she might be really good....so until the movie comes out maybe people shouldnt write so many nasty things however we shouldnt totally block the truth out!

Yes we must remember that JKR was writing Cho from Harry's PoV. He had a crush on her. Therefore she would be percieved as gorgeous by him. She might be thought of as ugly by someone else. So really saying that Katie isn't pretty enough, isn't very fair.

Being Jealous is perfectly fine. If we weren't jealous we would be robots. But hating someone because you are jealous? That is a huge No-No. It's not nice, because hate is such a strong feeling, and it's not nice knowing someone hates you especially when you don't even know their name. Trust me. I know, because this has happened to me. It made me feel very depressed about myself. I don't like the fact that Katie might be feeling that.

That is the first post, and it looks more like a discussion forum on what people think of her. It's just that for the first 8 pages, there were a lot of haters.

As to the first post, it did seem a bit like that. More along the lines of if you think she's a good actress, heard of her, think she looks the part. I think she does and seriously think she's a very pretty girl. Then again, I may have said that before.

But if you haven't noticed, a lot of the actors in these movies started out young and are mostly having their first ever big project to do in the movie industry. A large amount of them were 11 when they started.

I am disgusted by some of these comments! For all the pubescent, immature and nasty fangirls out there - stop being soo pathetic! If you have so much free time to hate, then I suggest you channel that energy to something more productive! Just because the majority of you guys are spotty, fat, spiteful, and have an inability to control your hormones does not give you the right to start harrasing an innocent girl. Katie is just a young girl following her dreams, she doesn't need malicious "no brains" putting her down! Jealousy is very unattractive! 😠

I'm very curious...how old are you?! From what I gather no older than 13-14? But that is no excuse for that spoilt brat comment! Clear this up for me ok? You basically hate Katie and think its ok to slag her looks because she has an opportunity that you believe you should have? Correct? You are UNBELIEVABLE! Your comment just reveals to the forum what a SPITEFUL and NASTY character you really are! Take comfort in this though - what comes around goes around! This applies to all the other nasty pieces of works who have made unnecessary and uncalled for comments about Katie.

Acters aren't hired just because they ACT, it's because they're good at it and fit the part. And no matter how much you think she doesn't fit the part of Cho, she obviously does fit it to a degree, she's gotten it.

i kinda agree with you, i don't hate her. and no, i don't think she doesn't fit the part, for some reason she did, so that's why she got chosen. and no, i don't think she's ugly (for w/e reason other ppl's saying) so i have NOTHING (for those of you who think i'm nasty b/c i hate her, look carefully) against katie, or her being in the movie. i'm just complainning, (for all kind of reasons) that's all.

and i want to clear off another thing. i'm proud of her, really. if she did good that means she proved it to ppl that asian chinese CAN act. me, being chinese am really happy for her. and that's for real. the jealousy inside me just the little volcano that pushing it's way out sometimes....
