::takes deep breath::
so here's how this goes.hld on one second while I tell you.
Prefects: there are 4 prefects from each house.2 from 5th (a boy and a girl) and two from 6th (a boy and a girl)
Heads: there is one Headboy and one Headgirl both from 7th year and they can be from any house and are usually the best students acidemically.Meaning highest scores on Ordinary Wizarding Levels and N.E.W.T's.The Headmaster chooses them.They are allowed to go between the HeadBoy and Headgirl common rooms and the common rooms of their respective houses as they please.They have a meetingf on the Hogwarts express with Mcgonagall to talk about thier duties as HeadBoy and HeadGirl.
::breathes:: ok. so there you go.

The Snake part in the first book!
Ok I am alittle confuse.IN the first book at the zoo the snake talks to harry.and harry understand him.
So why is harry so surprise about be able to speak and know snake when he knows aready in the first book?
And why did it harry tell ron and Heromone about the snake part.
He should know aready that he can understand snake and not be surprise in the first book.Anyone care to exclaim this to me?JM 😕
In the first book Harry is unaware that he is speaking snake language... he thinks he is speaking English to the snake, and the snake is speaking english back.... its just one of those strange things that keeps happening to him... in the second book, he is still unaware that he is not speaking English to the snake... it is only when Ron tells him that he realises he was speaking parseltongue.... hope that explains the surprise...
And as I said, harry thought he was speaking English to it... he'd never even heard of parseltongue.. its like a friend of mine... she speaks german and english with equal fluency, and doesn't realise that when speaking to say, me and her mum, she chabnges from one languge to the other... english to me, german to her mum.... until I have to ask her what her mum said!!

also the reason he can talk it, is because Voldemort was a Parselmouth, when he tried killing harry he transfered some of his magic abilities to harry.
That was just a theory by Dumbeldore(sp?). Supposedly just like he could have gone to Slytherin, he, on a more natural level, could have not become a parsel tongue. And besides, it's just a metaphor, or symbolism of one of Harry's qualities and/or characteristics.
