Anyways I have seen what women are capable to do in the army and I say it again regardelsee womens lib and equal rightes. the military aint suitable for women, they put on a pathetic display there and we cant go around the bush ignoring it. They aint fit to be there period.

For those who dissagre with it, speak of experience of the issue, if you cant or havent been in the armed service you actually dont know what the hell you are talking about. I have and got tired of always have to drag them along just because some BS organisation got it in with the authorities that women should get their chance in the military.

I'd have to agree with that. In my opinion, which Im sure Im going to catch alot of hell for...the womens movement, while it did alot of good for women, did alot of harm as well. I dont care how you argue it, men and women are simply not built the same. Not physically and not emotionally. Say what you will but there are some places women dont belong and on the front lines of the military is one of them.

As for the physical capacities of women to do the job, the answer is simple. You should have an objective set of required fitness standards to be in the front line. If you meet them, you can go in. If you don't, you cannot. No difference made for gender. Therefore, women have the same basic chance of passing, but being in general weaker, far more men will pass that test than women. It will be nothing to do with discrimination, simply applying an objective test of minimum requirements for the job.

However, the overall question is more complex than that. There is good evidence that having women in the front line reduces the operational effectiveness of troops as a whole- this is mainly due to the effect it has on the men on the same side.

There is no arguing that men are physically stronger than women. Women have better endurance than men. Nature gave each gender some traits, and that’s the way it is.

Personally I’d rather not be out in the front-line being cannon-fodder. Were I in the military I’d prefer to fly a fighter-jet, collect intelligence, ride a funky tank, or other “safe” stuff. The men who think it’s somehow very “manly” to fight around in trenches, in deserts or mud, seeing their friends being blown to pieces should just keep on running. No problem with me…

Whether they want to or not, is all up to them.

But like ush stated, there should be a requirement to enter the military for combat.

If the woman is capable of performing on par with the rest of the soldiers in her unit...then yes, she should be aloud to fight on the front lines.

I wouldn't want a female in my unit because honestly, if i saw a female shot or injured, i'd probably do something rash or unsafe in order to try and save her. I'd prefer that women use their various other skills at home, like Rosie the Rivetor or other various blue collar females. Just because they aren't getting shot at doesn't mean they aren't doing their part. And if my home town or country was invaded by an enemy, i'd hope any and all of my country men....male or female....would take up arms in order to protect their freedoms.

bit of an exageration there. Getting shot in the torso has to be worst than giving birth. Though I do try my best to understand the amount of pain involved in child birth....an AK, FAOL, AK47, or Yat 30 would probably go straight through you.

There are many factors that people overlook when they talk about women and men's physical ability.

Women, fought wars long long before, and they will fight in wars long after. Amazons fought in wars in ancient time, not against women, but against other men, many of them very succefully. Even though it was a woman to man combat.
Hey, they even helped Greeks against Trojans.

One of the reasons women dont appear to be nowhere as near as strong as men is because they are thught from early age that they should stick to dolls, and boys to soldiers and guns and all other crap.

Men are bigger in size than women, thats a fact indeed 👆

but women as already said, can indure more pain, their vision is twice as better, their hearing 4 times better than males (im reading this from my psychology book by the way, im not making it up or guessing) Contrencation is far better than in males, we live on average 7 years longer and more immune to the diseases (this is because the center for imune system is situated in X chromosome, male have only one, females have 2) etc etc...

Ok, the point is that females are as capable of being as strong as men, some persue it, others dont, its simple as that. 👆

Hormone levels effect the way women look, the estrogen and progesterone is what keeps women looking feminine and such, while men can bulk up to god knows what if they choose too.

This however does not mean we are not as strong as some men or stronger.

No but i was messing around yesterday with AK 47 ammo and just pressing it lightly into the skin hurts. I couldn't imagine one of those things hitting me as fast as they get shot.

I know you're getting this from the book so this isn't an attack on you in particular Lil's i just wanna make sure we all hear how ridiculous this sounds.

Ok so now, pain thresh holds are being generalized. I always felt that each person, male or female, had their own individual pain thresholds, apparently I'm wrong with that and all women can take more pain than me.

How can any of this even be in a book. It's one thing if women are capable of being all of these things, but it's a completely different thing to say them as they are stated.

I bet the woman with the best vision in the world doesn't have vision that is double that of the best male. Their hearing, couldn't be 4x that of a male. And concentration varies from individual to individual. I'm will to swallow my pride and admit the possibility that the best female is better than a male....but not by those numbers.
